Well bro it's appreciated that you followed my advice of reinstalling T-Valve as it is very necessary to maintain optimum engine running temperature, without T-Valve irregular cold engine temperature would consume a lot of fuel ( unburnt)
Secondly the clutch adjustment depends on individual's driving style and convenience, if you feel clutch is over loose then getting it a bit tight won't do any harm. Also first and reverse gear hard problems could also be due to bad clutch/pressure plates or worn out gear teeth, if adjusting clutch to tight can solve first/reverse gear right problem then it's fine otherwise keep on going as it is.
