When you give it some gas,it goes on a vacation,drinks a cup of coffee,admires the surroundings and the finally gives you some acceleration. I always say it is a great car for old people.... not that much for lead footed youngsters.

If you're in second gear that always happens. I just floor it to activate the kickback. Screw fuel economy

VTEC on my civic kicks in at 2800 if I floor it ... I am loving it!

If you're in second gear and press the throttle about half way, you feel the VVTi kick in at 3000 rpm.

lease is pretty useless isnt it? u basically rent a car for a lot of money and then return it after the time frame.. plus u have limited mileage and all that stuff i think.

Well okay on a Camry it doesn't matter, but it does make sense for a lot of other cars like BMW's where you don't really want to keep them for years on end. Minimum mileage is 12,000 and I think you may be able to upgrade for a bit more per month.
I'd rather go for a lease than finance- give the car up after 3 or 4 years and get another.

our previous car- 1999 plymouth neon was used for bout 10 years and almost 300000 miles, and its still running lol lets see how long this one lasts..

VVT-i doesn't 'kick' in since all it does is vary valve timing unlike VTEC where there is a valve LIFT. The VTEC counterpart from Toyota is VVTL-i where you will feel lift at usually 6500+ rpm since the valves are lifted for more air induction.

And the VTEC kick at 2800 RPM means that VTEC is a VTEC-E design where the first stage of VTEC kicks in over there and the second stage usually kicks around between 5k-5.5k.
