Resale of Boon is less as compared to Passo. Vitz has the max. resale in these 03, but since, it is getting quite expensive with every passing day, people are getting more inclined towards Passo, and it has developed a decent resale.
I have been using Passo since last year, and other than routine preventive maintenance, I did not face any electrical, mechanical, etc. problems. If you can find a good mechanic, electrician, etc. who can understand these used JDMs, then they are not a problem at all.
Since, I have never owned Vitz, so I will not comment about its fuel efficiency, but people say that fuel economy of Passo / Boon is better in comparison to Vitz by 2-4 kmpl (may be), although both share the same 1 KR-FE engine in 1000 cc variant. Self weight of the car may be prime factor, other than shape, etc.
Passo has been giving me 16.5 kmpl + in summers (with AC) and 19.5 kmpl + in winters, when driven carefully, with soft foot. It's a nice, decent family car, good enough for routine daily activities.
