Noted with thanks, I will definitely check with dealership. I remember by brand new Corolla got a suspension knock due to rubbish and hard general tyres in a year or two.

As far as i have searched no one has recommended or discussed this tyre topic for Alto. It's a confusing topic as most people are told not to change anything or warranty will be void. I am taking delivery of the new vehicle on Monday INSHALLAH. Went to visit the showroom to see my car as its waiting some paperwork.
The delivery incharge told me that i can get a infotainment system or a back camera even from them and warranty won't be void. For tyres he told me to go for the same size as OEM and actually recommended me to get other tyres as these wobble on higher speeds. He said you will have peace of mind and good resale of these tyres.
So now my tyre change decision is even stronger and i am hoping to hear about anyone's experience of a new tyre on Alto in company size or bigger to see which one gives better results.

Why would the warranty be void when the rims are the same? Obviously if you ask the 3S Jokership, they will say your warranty is void as you got the wiper rubber changed from the market......

I found Alto more stable than Wagon R even with stock tire size. I replaced Alto AGS tires with Bridgestone Nextry OEM size and ride quality improved significantly. It became more soft, stability at high speed improved significantly.

Alto's recommended tire pressure is 36psi but with general tires, 33psi is enough due to its hardness. Delearships also fill 33psi in general tires where 36psi is recommended. But when you switch to soft tires, you must follow Suzuki's recommendation (36psi), otherwise they may get puncture easily. Also in summer, low tire pressure can cause tires to heatup and burst specially at motorway speeds. This is one of the major reason for tire burst on motorways in Pakistan. People usually decrease tire pressure in summer than the manufacturer recommended trying to stay on the safe side. Infact it's the opposite specially for high speed driving.

The tires i bought are made in japan. I found the same tires indonesian made as well with 3k less price. I am not sure what's the difference but i bought the japan made tires.

My experience is that upgrading the tire size, somehow will effect the suspension on long terms. (Within one year you will feel it).

It's correct that Alto looks pretty nice in such big tires but also I didn't found any issues with stock tires. No stability problem at all. Tires do its job very well. Yes, there are little rolling noise but it's ignore able.

Stay with STOCK SIZE and correct tire pressure.

General tires are tough, I used them in four different make and model cars. Till 45 to 50 k mileage, they never got puncher.

i agree on terms that Alto is a utility vehicle, and fancy stuff does not justify the basic purpose of the car.

thanks for the clarification. I wrote a reply asking just what you have told. I will definitely consider these tyres. First thing i am gonna do. Btw which city do yo live in? I am in Lahore and plan to go to JRashid but his shop is super crowded always. Johar town branch charges a premium.

Changing OEM tire size will void warranty. This is common practice across the industry.

Why are you so concerned for tire size change? I have driven Alto on motorway @ 120kph with Bridgestone tires and the ride was super stable. I had previously owned wagon r, and it was not stable after 110kph even after tire change.

Yes, you are right and i am not planning anything fancy, just some tires and a window heat shield for summers. Thats it. No rims or anything shiny. I keep all my cars stock.

Actually the OEM size is not a common size in market and i am just considering options so i can get the job done when i visit the tyre shop. I do not want to go above OEM but in some brands choices are limited.

Got them from Zafcom Karachi. Bhai, do what feels right. What is the use of spending money when you dont enjoy your vehicle? Change tires on stock rims and the difference is day and night. Rest your choice. 165 have totally changed the ride of my car.....
