The sad part is not loss of money but i want death punishment for these criminals if proved reason just imagine if some one is really telling you truth but you have suffered this scam you will surely not help them ....so my advise is not stop helping but be sure to get confirmation like get his id or registration papers of cars............those are evil people who do it but its our obligation not to let our humanity go.......what if we really fail to help someone who is in real need......If we all stop helping because of these people what will become of our humanity so my advice get your satisfaction (do not hesitate to be rude and excuse later when you are sure they are genuine ) and then help

Today i was coming to islamabad from faisalabad. On bhera service area i stopped my car in front of mosque for prayer. When i came back there was one cultus standing along my car.The guy in cultus came out to me and told that he was coming from Gojra and going to abottabad, he has forgotten his vaulet home and has no money. There were also 3 ladies in the car, one in front and 2 in rear. They also told the same. I started to think what should i do, the guy who was in his 20's asked that we are in genuine need and will return me the money. I took out 500 and gave him, he started asking for more as he told that they have to get the CNG filled and also to pay the motorway toll. The women also pleaded for more so i gave them 1500.

What you guys say, were they genuine people needing help or it is just another way to get money out of the pockets of people as we everyday listen about such incidents. Afterwards i has this feeling that they were not genuine, Any ways i helpled them thinking that they may really be in trouble. Share your thoughts and any such experirence:).

We should continue helping peoples but after a little bit confirmation, we may ask them to leave their Car registration paper with us, mobile phone, wrist watch or any thing which we may saw with them at the time when this kind of situation arise

I reached early morning at Makkah, did Umrah & said fajar prayers, than for few minutes I sit their looking Kabba Building, one can imagine the thoughts & feeling of these blessed moments,,,,,,,,,, my wife was with me, when we were about to go a couple came & said almost same kind of story,,,,,, we trusted them & gave them some Riyals, they were asking more, but I said we are also travelers so can not meet their request. so we went to hotel and than same happens after Essha prayers,,,,,,,,,, again one family came to us and reveled almost same story............ this time we took them as they are going to cheat us so we refused and believe me every day their at makkah & madina we face these kind of people and most painful aspects is that all of them were claiming themselves to be Pakistanis...........

So I hope "Sodagar" will be careful in future, and another good suggestion that always as something as guarantee to these peoples like watch, papers of car etc to check their originality............ if found genuine than ho harm to help some needy one.

hello bros well in faisalabad a spam happend to me also when a man came to my shp suited and said i came from rahim yar khan and i have been robbed my cell and every thing plz give me 250 rps or buy me a train ticket i will return u as he took my card but its now almost a month he never came or send as people are doing as a business and once a man in mosque said im an engineer my son came here from khi i came behind him to find him and i was robed i want ticket for khi
i have half money u give me half money for ticket i brought him with me and said come i buy u ticket 1st he agreed to come then he said abhi time hai mein aik banday kay pas paisay rakhw aya hon us kay pas say lay aon i said wait i will go along u he said no no i am just coming and he went and never came again these people are 90 percent not needed persons but crooks

This is the time when everyone is needy. But majority of them are just scammers. So avoid them and don't help them. If they were armed, they would have looted you. Everytime you hear new way of someone's ripping off. So try not to be a victim. To some Rs. 500 may not mean lot of money but for a looter its a lot. May ALLAH keep all of us safe (Aameen).

rightly said....its very common in karachi....my brother also faced such a situation...our family was at a petrol pump...a guy came up saying buy my watch, pointing at his family with women and children (around 5 of them in total) said that he has come from lahore for a wedding and he got robbed, and needed some money to get back....my brother gave him some money and left....initially i thought they were real, but after hearing your stories i realize they were fake....moreover, a lot of people with families now target cars at signals saying we came from interior sindh and got robbed....

I GUESS IT REPRESENTS OUR COLLECTIVE FAILURE AS A SOCIETY THAT WE HAVE PUSHED OUR POPULATION TO SUCH EXTREMES AS TO BRING THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES INTO CHEATING OTHER PEOPLE...

That's a very seasoned scam, you got conned!

I was in a similar situation in Faisalabad next to my home about 5 years ago. The dude was in a white corolla, a lady was sitting beside him and a young child in the back seat. He told me a similar story - that they're from Lahore, came to Faisalabad on a wedding, forgot their purses in the wedding hall (surprisingly both of them) and needed to go back to Lahore, 1500 rupees would be enough for them to refill and reach Lahore. As soon as he reaches Lahore, he will just drop the family, grab his wallet and come all the way back to Faisalabad to return me my money.

I was tempted after seeing him with family, but just when I was about to give him money, I asked him if I could keep his watch (a casio databank worth 2000 rupees) and I'll return it to him him when he comes back to return my money. I asked this really politely but his tone suddenly changed. He sat back in his car, hit the accelerator and was gone before I could see the look on his face.

I've somewhat different story to share with you. A few years back, I had just bought Honda City brand new. On second or third day, I went to F-10 Shell petrol pump late night and asked the guy to fill the tank. Once it was filled, the guy asked for money, and guess wat...i left my wallet at home...! I had all the docs, ID card, License etc in the wallet along with the money. Luckily I had my cell phone so i gave it to the Petrol pump guy as guarantee and told him that I'll be back in 10 min. I felt a bit embarrassment as the petrol pump manager said k laog nayee gari lay laitay hain but try to scam us especially the women who use to tell the same story but never return the money.

Kehnay ka maqsad hay, ke yeh situation to kissi k sath bhi ho sakti hay but we should ensure ke we don't get scammed. I won't give Rs. 2000 or something like that but I'd still help any guy who approaches me as much as i can without worrying abt the money being returned.

and most of the time diff families..
on petrol pumps
or outside sum famous food chain (AL-baik)
