The next day, December 31, the famous Circle line cruise was the plan. If one thinks of the island of Manhattan as a clock, this cruise starts at about 9 o clock and proceeds counter clockwise.
Right by the Circle Line pier is the USS Intrepid, a retired aircraft carrier that has been converted into a floating museum:
