aoa brothers.as the title suggests that Iam buying a dslr my first dslr to be more precised got a budget of 55k,got two options in this budget nikon d5100 and canon 600d,I was inclined towards nikon d5100 but then a photographer friend said go for canon it has built in focus motor thus much easier to use plus lenses are cheap Iam really confused searched a lot on net but really cant come up with an answer so plz help.jazakAllah.
for what i learnt from a post of a pakwheeler i guess taz .. canon's have costly body but lenses are cheaper whereas in nikons the bodies are cheap and lenses are costly..
Kept both, liked Canon better.
DR and high ISO is better on nikon. I shoot both but whenever the situation is tough, I always go to nikon
i have d5100. i dont know but i always feel that with the KIT lens (18-55) Canon always capture sharper images and deeper colours.
i think Canon 600 or 650 might be a better option.

Brother Canon 600D Rebel T3i is much better than Nikon 5100 in low light and focus.
Try to grab the Canon 60D used it is a class apart in raw shooting and low noise photos.
For new Samsung NX1000 and Canon EOS 100D are good for around 45K with lens.
You sure EOS 100D is available for around 45K?
I guess it would be 68K+

EOS 100D is a very good DSLR but overpriced you can get a Sony NEX-5N for a little less or even Nikon D5200 which is simple in another league.
Eos100D us compact n lightweight so is expensive

Very true brother but the target audience wants features and performance and bulk is not an issue for a professional photographer.
I would any day prefer a Nikon D5200 over the EOS.
For professionals, you are absolutely correct, but for amature photographers this is excellent option being light weight with excellent results
