some how without a turbo this car is lagging behind and with the STI, EVO, Supra, GTR and RX& the turbo era has stayed longer then ever. Z used to be in that category but no any more.

I meant that with the introduction of this 350Z, the new 450 bhp Skyline (yet to be unvieled officially) and speculation of a highly tuned Murano's introduction, NISSAN is back again in the Driving seat of the JAPAN Automobile Industry's performance departments!!...And it is regaining its Image of creating wonderful Performance oriented cars which it previously had!

Superchargers are good bit not as good as the turbos, and they had their time in the sun but in theory they are both the same forcing more air in the engine but the turbo is efficient and does a better job using less power off the engine.

I do not know, maybe they do not want to compete against the their other product GTR. Turbo has higher prssure in the top end and supercharger pressurize in the low to mid end. Something to do with the design of the engine maybe. I do not know, I am merely speculating.

my guess is that nissan wants to have a low profile with the Z...the company is getting ready for even a bigger launch as we know (the skyline) which i believe will be turbocharged.

for nissan worldwide...the skyline has a bigger stake than the 350Z. it makes perfect sense.
