Many people say they get good fuel avg with these jdm station wagons. Did you check the catalytic converter? Its the most obvious culprit. Get it scanned and get a compression test to see health of engine. Is the check engine light on?

thanks for the response..
Check Engine light is off, I got the car scanned and there were no errors so I assumed MAF, O2 and Cat all are fine.
Anyways, I've discussed the matter with Daniyal from Dmotorsports yesterday and am planning to visit him next week. Insha Allah we'll investigate what the problem is..

Sometimes the sensors stop working properly but the cel stays off and the catalytic converter gets choked due to dirty fuel. It can only be checked via visual inspection. It wont show on the scan. Getting it cleaned will give more power and mileage back to the engine. Cats require periodic cleaning in jdm cars in Pakistan
