I'm in the market for an unregistered Wingroad or Honda Airwave. I scoured the whole of Khalid bin Waleed road yesterday but found none. The showrooms near old sabzi mandi also only have corolla fielders in their forecourts. where should i look?

Bought a 2007 Wingroad around 3 weeks ago. 1.5 2WD. It is in excellent condition in and out and runs fine except under 2000 rpm. Started giving this problem a few days after purchase- cold start idle is very rough and car jerks while driving around 1500rpm. Initially thought it was a problem with the fuel as i had topped it up with regular after purchase, so the next time i refuelled with hi-octane when only 4-5l of the old fuel remained. The problem seemed to worsen. Engine and CVT oils and air filter are fine. did not check spark plugs as it means taking the intake manifold off and my mechanic said that the ECU software will have to be reprogrammed if he takes it off. he had someone take OBD-2 diagnostics and it showed no errors.
any suggestion will be HUGELY appreciated- i have begun regretting getting this instead of a new City

Did you replace all the fluids when you purchased the car? Don't just assume that all fluids are ok. Japanese imports take a while to get here, and during that time the fluids may deteriorate but appear to be fine. I don't think checking the spark plugs should have any thing to do with ECU reprogramming. Are you sure that your drive is CVT and not AT?

Hello everyone.

I am from Islamabad. I recently got myself a Nissan Wingroad 2006. I fancied this car since i started looking at it on the roads and seems now after having one that this seems to be a nice car after all. Good value for money with the luxury and functions included. I have a few questions if someone can help me please.... I would be really grateful indeed.

1. the rear ash tray is missing in my car. From where will i be able to get one easily. I am from Islamabad. I guess no other ash tray would fit in its slot as its rather tall... Do let me know please.

2. Which DVD player to install in dash? I need something good with reverse cam and bluetooth and USB support. which one ill fit best in dash please?

3. Is there a boot light in this car. I just seem to have one on the ceiling in the middle of the car and the boot area is dark. Is there a light, mine might have been fused or something. seems very unlikely that the japanese would forget that.

4. there are two red lights or maybe reflectors at teh bottom of the rear bumper. Are those lights or merely reflectors?

If I have any further questions, I shall ask you gurus... I am glad I found the right place to get info about my car.

Munir autos is in lahore. I always contact them on phone, mainly to ask price / availability of spare part. Their no is 042-36310430. I think, in pindi-islamabad also, there would be certain shop(s) having spare parts of jdm nissans. U should also visit Azhar Shaheed Market in pindi saddar. There r shops selling spares of nissan vehicles.

4 indoor lights in all, these two just for the boot.
The lights at the bottom of the bumper are merely reflectors

PS, don't judge the seat covers :p, they look bad but are super comfortable and never heat up in the sun

Whats te current status of wingroad engine parts and body parts availability in karachi.. I am going to get one so if any previous owner can shed some light on this that will be great....

Aoa.. Well, parts are not easily available and that is the reason they are so much cheaper than Fielders. Alhamdulillah we were able to find a really clean example so hopefully we will be able to run it for two, three years without major complications.
The rear shocks, however, were completely gone and the springs were hitting the stoppers at every moderate bump. We were able to get used ones from shershah for 6k (the exact same type, down to model code). The ride has no comparison to corolla or civic now, you hardly feel a bump. (175 section wheels help)
As far as consumption is concerned, we were getting 8-9km/l initially but getting someone to adjust the fuel injector timing resulted in a rise to 11-12.
I have never used any car with cng so not sure but most wingroads have cvt transmission and i believe those are not compatible with cng (correct me if im wrong)

Thanks for the kind responses guys. I have sorted it out: There is no ash tray to discourage smoking maybe at the rear side so I am not worried about it any more.

Humayun Sb: Yes the boot lights I figured out however mine in the boot lid is not there but no worries for that too and the one in the roof near boot opening works fine. However you said 4 lights ? how come if two are in the boot then there would only be one in the car roof yeah so that is 3 lights, no? Perhaps you seem to have a light in the front too but my back view mirror sticks to the wind shield and hence no light there. Good to know the ones in the bumper are merely reflectors And I love your seat covers so no worries there too haha

Last but not the least guys, suggest me something:

I am looking for some good seat covers. There aren't any ready made available for wingroads in Islamabad and hence I am looking forward to the ones that they stitch for you. Time consuming yes but worth it as its rather neatly done and does not spoil the shape of the seats. which ones should I get though??? The leatherettes are cool and I personally like them but they get heated in summers and this is Pakistan not Europe so what to do? By the way I had the same leatherettes in my Civic and yes those did get hot a bit ummmm but well I was kinda ok with it. If I go for cloth well then ... I dont know... should I ?

Aoa everyone. What average are your Wingroads currently returning? I just got ~14.3km/l from hyd to khi. Speed was mostly 120kph with 3-4 full throttle bursts. Jitna is gari ne fuel ki waja se rulaya hai, I could never think it could give such an average

I own a wingroad, and need to replace the front shocks as they have become very hard. Can anyone tell me where to get those in Islamabad / Rawalpindi. Also I heard that the shocks of wingroad and sunny are the same ? is that true?
