Well it depends upon what you wanna do.
If you want to stay in Pakistan and get some Pakistani Undergrad Degree you'll need to have Alevel.
Whereas if you want to do some International Programe(E.t.c London University International Programes), ACCA(for which you can take Foundation Diploma) or some other Diploma thing you don't need to have Alevel.
If you are planning to move abroad you can either take Alevel and get direct entry into Undergrad degrees almost everywhere(sometimes with Advance Credit aswell) or you can just stick to Foundation Year/Diploma which might let you get into 2nd year of Undergrad Degree(Saving 1 year) or just the usual Starting Year(again saving 1 year coz Alevel requires 2 years).
But to be noted, moving abroad after O'level has its own catches, Most of the students at this time are below 18 which puts on the compulsion of getting Guardianship abroad ONLY which costs more then 2years of Alevel in Pakistan plus the tuition fee+living+transport e.t.c and sometimes the students can't really take part time jobs aswell. Also to be noted is the cost of these courses, such courses costs a LOT, AND I MEAN IT,A LOT...!!! (at least 2x,3x of usual Studies in Pakistan).
I hope this serves the Question well but if don't,ask me anything else.
BTW I have been into such thoughts a year ago(A2 this time) and I am mad at researching so knows a lot already.
