@syncview gave a very unbiased explanation.
private schools are money mints, im not even going to be attending classes this month since i will be done with A level yet i have to pay fee for the next two months (they don't give the cie statement of entry unless you pay that fee)
infact one feels sad that so much money is going to uk, everyone wants quality education and low cost, infact i wouldn't have been in A level had i not got a scholarship, family had plans to send me to fc but i didn't want to go.
the fsc system is only suffering because of the lack of quality control
i went to kips for entry test prep, i just attended 3 classes and then decided i was just wasting my time there. they charge 8k for that session but wouldn't even allow a trial. the fsc academies (not talking about schools) are no cheap, infact they charge approximately the same as the A level ones, but the quality difference is immense.
during those three classes i once caught the physics teacher teaching a concept wrong and the english teacher talking about cheap things when girls were in the classroom (girls or no girls, you arent supposed to talk like that).
there was a sentence in which the word venison is used, he said priests are forbidden to eat venison kyun k yeh banday ko garam kar deta hai.
(wesay kidhar ki baat kidhar pohanch gayi :()
both systems are quite similar, A level is the new version made by mr gora, and fsc is mr gora's old karnama slightly updated by the education boards
