This time when we returned, we stayed at FC Officers’ Mess Chitral. This was a beautiful and much more reasonably priced as compared to the Gahirat Castle, and a huge establishment. However, we were happy to have stayed at Gahirat Castle and also at the FC Mess. Both are unique in their own sense.
On day 3, we went to Kalash Valley: Bamburate to be specific. Here, the road is much more doable… much more relaxing, shorter and the views are … well… almost as good.

We went to some house in one of the villages in Bamburate, enjoyed tea with some dry fruits. The lawn had great sunshine.. the dry fruit were great, but tea was not to our taste.
However, my daughters enjoyed conversing and exchanging ideas with local Kalashy ladies and girls.
Then, we proceeded on to FC Mess in Bamburate. Had lunch, spent some time, and headed back,,

Finally, Day four was scheduled for a return journey...... a long journey home. Tired but satisfied... and very happy...
We reached Abbottabad, late in the evening, having spent some time to stop over on the way, eating, drinking, relaxing, walking, refreshing, and trying to keep awake.
The kids were wonderful. The did all the hard work and most of the driving. If I have to put a figure, I will think I contributed 10% to the driving, and may be around 20% to the thinking and philosophical guidelines....
Anyways, all in all a great trip and very relaxing. However, my final advice will be.... Go in February or March. But stay for 7 days not 4 days.
Enjoy the unspoiled scenery. Walk the snow-covered valleys. Stay blessed.
