Oil change interval

diesel engine condition is very important. if it does not consume oil than you can change delo at 4k without a problem

thx,some times it very minimaly reduces oil,and some times does not ,,i normally go for 2500km.engine does not give smoke ,no start up problem,no pick problem and i m using delo gold consistently for the last 5 years since i have this car ,,its converted diesel an engine 98 model toyota rear wheel drive 2.0d .

I use the same Blue bottled shell helix and cheange it every 5000km

I gotta say the Blue Oil from Shell is pretty good. The one that costs 1000 and something.

But beware, if someone uses a flame kit (shitty ricer thing) in their sports exhausts, then do change the oil earlier cuz the fuel and oil mix up.

can any1 kindly explain the grading's of oil?i mean what 10w 40 etc etc mean?n which 1 is better?n plz explain gear oil gradings too...thanx!

10W 40 is the viscocity of oil at diferent temp. in cold the viscocity is 10 which is less so that engin can start up easily and as the temp goes up so the viscocity 40 to provide proper lubrication. These are called multi grade oils.

get ur oil changed after every 3000 km, 5000 is very high ur oil must got black and loses its lubricating property, if u see still that the color of the oil still remains as it was then dont change, but i recommend u to keeep changing after 3000, if u feel ur car gets heavy in running then change it ASAP, also look in the manual what it suggests..... thanks
