Oil for Honda city Idsi 2005 (Help)

which oil were you using previously ?
Im currently using Shell HX-5 (synthetic) 10w40 change interval is 5000 km's
you could also use Caltex Havoline formula 10w-40

Any good 5w30, 10w30 or 10w40 oil.
The really good ones imo are helix ultra, liqui moly mos2 and the syntheic one. havoline fully synthetic.

But you probably should not spend too much money as your car does not need such expensive oils.

hx-5 is 10w-40 my advise is to keep using it

It is 10w40. If you want to upgrade you could move to HX-7 the blue one

I wanted to ask which is best oil for honda city 2005(Manual) idsi 142k driven and engine is in excellent condition and never reduces oil

My advice is to use new Honda Genuine 5w30 full synthetic having cost Rs.3000 and always use genuine oil filter having cost Rs 860.

Always buy engine oil and oil filter from 3s dealership because they are original one not fake. Market is full of fake oil and filter which can harm your car engine.

Go for Zic A 10W40 Semi-synthetic.... 5W20 or 5W30 would be too thin for 142K km driven engine...Shell HX5 10W40 is no more semi synthetic...neither is Havoline 10W30...both are now pure mineral oil...though some shops have old stocks still with semi synthetic written on them...

thats why it is called mobil 1 high mileage.its for cars which hv crossed 75k miles. mobil1 is easy to find in the better oil shops of car markets of any area

overall i feel increase in performance and now engine is more smooth
