Are these only the generic OBD2 codes? A lot of manufacturers have proprietary codes for other ECUs in the car such as transmission, ABS etc, and even the engine ECU has extended codes that are not part of the primary set.

A good start nonetheless.

These are generic codes and the application is basic in that sense - but it does have a good amount of metrics which impressed someone like me who wants to start with OBD tools just now. Also the GUI is much cooler, you can set 5 of your favourite metrics on the main screen with one big one in the centre.. and other stuff like that.

Also what impressed me was you can check and clear engine codes from this - I didn't expect an 'iPhone' app per se to do that you know.

This Thing Needs Cable Or Sender Unit And Software For This And That extra Goodies Cost Bit Or Equal To A Good Hand held OBD tester
OBD Got So many Different Standards Also.....It won't Be working with all of them.....!!
For Users With iphone..Just an opportunity to be handy....!!

Can you tell me where I can by an old-school OBD kit in Karachi? and Also a compression tester? I noticed you have one.

Yeah, exactly! Well the app is USD30 i think, but that can be downloaded for free if you have a jail-broken phone.. The investment is the WiFi transmitter - it costs ~ USD 150
