As Kund Malir is under discussion among the people who are passionate about road trips, so we planned to go there by our own car.
Before the day we leave, the family discouraged us due to the rumors of the law & order situations in Baluchistan, but we decided to take chance by seeking guidance from one of my experienced friends (Maaz), who guided us that there is no such thing and Pakistan Coast Guards department and other Security Agencies have controlled the situation.
I am adding some points to this post for those who are planning to go there:
Best time to Start Journey:
Best time to start the journey from Karachi to Kund Malir is around 5:00 AM, so that you will cross the Hub Chowki after Dawn.
Precautions for car:
Spare wheel & its accessories, strong rope, piece of electric wire, complete toolkit and preferably you can consult your mechanic to provide you some necessary extra Fuse that you can use in case of any failure.
Further, you must have backup fuel to carry there, we took around 12 liters extra fuel for our Honda Civic.
Food items to carry:
There are some hotels on the highway, but they don't have good food to eat like other highways, so its better if you keep all the food with yourself from the city. It's hot over there so packed food items are preferable.
It is a good place to visit, we missed 'Nani ka Mandir' but you should visit that too. Further, the temperature over there more than Karachi so you should keep the stuff to protect you from continuous sunrays.
Good luck.
