getting ready to continue our journey to Naran..
ohhh yar this land sliding is still going on when i visited naran in sep 2010 it was also going on that time we were on bikes we crossed this part in 1 hour stones were coming down n road was totally blocked it was the most riskiest step by us to cross this area whole road is destroyed yar ... its all bcoz of cutting of trees .. there was a sum plan installed in front of this road that crushes mountain n take stone n also cutted huge number of trees its all bcoz of deforestation whole of the beauty of area is ruined .. govt shud stop such things

i was thinking how they will clear this area but they didnt cleared it they just gave alternative route hmmmm lets see now we are planning to go skardu via naran in july

Nice pics, like them, if you were heading toward North then u should have Warm Clothes and prepare for the worst. As Cold/Frost Bite can even damage your body.
wonderfull, great to see that Naran is accessible in winters too, i m soon buying Prado and then will go for these adventures InshaAllah

thnx.. but it is highly recommended to check the condition before you plan any trip in winter to Naran, even in Summer too.. i think we were lucky enough that weather was very clear and there was not much snow fall by end Jan and we were able to reach there..
not very far now.. just few more turns and we can have first glimps of this wonderful town

it was the first sight of Naran anyone could get from road.. looks like to go straight now.. but there are still few more swings in road

snow was very soft around the road, which is more dangerous as you never know what is hidden underneath.. you are strictly bound to follow the track and need very good judgment..
finally, we reached Naran just before noon, a very calm and cool place at all time..
