That is one issue which stops me from ordering online. I believe one can pay via Western Union as well? That sounds safer although Im not sure about transaction charges.

Ordered a screen protector from aliexpress a week ago.
Just received call from Bank Alfalah that my visa card is hacked. I am directed to cut my card into pieces and return it to Bank Alfalah. new card will be issued within a week.

It means someone has stolen details of your card and bank has blocked it.

Before you use your credit card online and offline, make sure of the following things

1) Your computer is free of any spyware, keylogger software etc.
2) Only shop from your personal computer, never from someone else's computer
3) Shopping offline, never leave you card with the shopkeeper, always keep it in your sight

In my opinion every credit card should have a secret pin code like debit cards. The transaction should only be processed if the user enters the correct pin code. This simple step will prevent credit card fraud. I don't know why banks don't implement it.

ALHAMDOLILLAH ALLAH PAK saved me last year from such a fraud. I was in karachi in my office when i got a call from bank alfalah that my card is being used at dubai airport for DHS 3000 transaction but some how the transaction was not been able to go through. I immediately told them that i am in karachi and the card is with me and asked them to block the card immediately. Then by the grace of ALLAH PAK, i permanently blocked the card and started doing cash transactions. This gave me a peaceful mindset though after few months of hardships since i have to make all cash payments instead of credit!!

best method is always - pese do cheez lo- there are a lot of new hacking techniques now and we are not aware of all.

There was an option on aliexpress website that if i place order via cell phone then there is further discount.
It was an offer by the vendor.

I called bank alfalah and asked them what actually happened? Why i received cal from bank asking me to return card by cuting into pieces. Bank representativet replied that the data of my card is hacked......

it is like cloud computing or virtual machine thingy, ie it is not linked with ur bank account, u put money in it and shop, so whenever I have to buy an item of any amount online, I just transfer the said amount to the lite card and shop. no tension of getting hacked. it works on atms also

the best thing is it works on amazon n all other infamous shopping sites

I haven't used the Ali Express cell phone app, but I doubt your credit card information got stolen while you were transacting through the app, the data is usually transmitted through an encrypted connection, unless someone installed spyware on your phone that captures data you are entering. The other possibility is that Ali Express itself stole your data (again this is highly unlikely). Your credit card data might have been stolen earlier and not through this specific transaction.

The other possibility is the bank considered the transaction suspicious and blocked the card. In some cases when banks suspect fraud they call up the user to inquire the authenticity of the specific transaction but in other cases they just block it without contacting the user.

No....It was a person in GPO Lahore custom branch name Haji Zubair Sidhu who demanded USD$500 as bribe to release me camera as he said FED, State Tax, Sales Tax etc is like that but I know it is a bribe.

Then i make settlement with his peon of USD$75 and they sent me camera back to home where post man took again USD$75 from me so total was USD$150 I have paid for this.

Better whenever you purchase ask your seller to mark it as Gift Item and price is not more than USD$40.
