Usb standard doesn't permits 8 watts. I think maximum current supplied by usb is 0.5amps that too when it's properly negotiated. Otherwise it will supply just 5v @100m amps.

Does this soldering iron have internal battery?

What could be the use of 8watt soldering iron. In day to day repairs I use 35watt and 65watt.

I don't even see the advantages of first converting AC to DC for DC soldering iron.
What's wrong with AC? The only use of DC iron I see is when using it incase mains AC us not available.. And you have a power bank that can supply you with 2 amps, But where would one need it?

Chargers or adapters with output connector in usb shape can provide current well in excess of usb standard any usb2 compliant device cannot offer more then 2.5watts.

It's just exotic item.

No i said my AC wall adapter is rated 12W .
The 8W soldering iron should be powered easily by it. But yeah.... Thats the thing. Will it be effective. ? Or is it just a cosmetic item?
We will find out.

Probably not for heavy soldering like making tracks on vero board. Its good for soldering ICs and SMD components.

I have ordered more than 30-40 packets from aliexpress . I have to pay 2 times duty. From my experience always ask seller to mark the value low and mark item as gift.

In that case you will also need to keep a separate usb cable and power adapter as well..
Or a power bank it using at location where no ac power is available. (though where how could it be?)

Seller was least bothered, when i inquired about the replaceable tips, he said he didnt know.
