So clearance will be slow, however if you cant wait then better to visit gpo yourself,:
Visit IMO branch, give AE tracking number
He will in return provide you with local assigned number.
Give the local assigned number to anyone in packet branch, they will look up their hand written records and tell you the status, in this way and in most cases you will manage to clear the item yourself. No need for bribes! Just follow this procedure.
