My parcel (Bluedio T3) which I had placed order on 11-11-2016 was arrived IMO Parcel Karachi on 26-11-2016. This parcel was held at customs for 11 days. I had called GPO customer service on 28-11-2016 and they said it is a standard process and after necessary processing, customs will issue letter to me within 4 days. I was eagerly waiting for my parcel and day before yesterday I called again GPO Customer service and got the number of Mr. Tahir at IMO Parcel Karachi Tel 99211130. He said I have to visit GPO to meet with customs persons. So I decided to visit GPO today and met with customs persons. They were issuing letters to receivers for parcels held with them (including my parcel). I asked them reason for late issuing letters then they said due to rush/work load they were unable to issue letter early.

Customs person charged me duty Rs.1300 on the declared value US$20 on parcel and he confirmed me that parcel will be delivered to me within 2 days and I have to pay duty amount to the postman who will deliver my parcel.

If someone in this forum whose parcel?s tracking showing held at customs for more than 5 days and didn?t receive letter from customs then must meet with the respective IMO Parcel for expedite process. Please check IMO locations from this link EMTTS - Express Mail Track & Trace System

Call to islamabad GPO help line and tell them your complaint against registered parcel which you have lost.
Usually post man hides parcels.
I have submit my complaint 2 months ago and they guided me as well and i also submit one application to my regional GPO( Gujranwala) .
After some days i got a letter from GPO that i should submit application again as they described in letter.
Then post man daily came to my house and ask to withdraw application as he has lost parcel somewhere.
So better to go your GPO and submit written application and also call to Islamabad help line.

I paid Rs.130 CD on the same headphones. If your tracking status says "Record Item customs information" that means it is held by customs and they will send you a detention letter. Otherwise they just process it normally and you receive the item at your doorstep.

Visit the Pakistan post website and you can track it from there. But all these parcel tracking apps are already linked to mail services so you won't get any new information.

• Got two detention memos recently from GPO lahore but they do not contain any info about item.How to know which item is detained?
• process to release items from GPO ?
• GPO timings? Saturday open?
• What happen to items which are not released by customs. Some of my parcels are few months old as i was lazy enough to visit GPO. They are still trackable from Pakistan Post website. Is there any way to claim them well. how much old items can be claimed?
• Any tip/suggestion to deal with GPO.

My parcel was sent via Singapore post but now the tracking shows HK post and Pakpost shows insert item into bag hong kong... There is some problem with HK post I guess

I also got a detention memo last year, but item was not mentioned, neither was tracking number. That's the way detention memos usually are. Try calling them and asking them about it.

I think it is open on Saturday, but call to confirm.

I am assuming as per SOP they are supposed to return unclaimed items to the shipper after a particular time period or auction it. But I doubt they do that.

Got all my 4 orders which placed on 11/11. first 2 got within 12-14 days via SG service, rest of 2 took 25 days via china registered mail.

Bhai jan,i get al my free and ordinary parcels in 10 to 15 days,,,and i have received more then 50 pacels,what i was directing towards is,,that there is a definite delay,a un usual situation,,which u can read in recent coments of this thread.
