Hi. i am an aliexpress user from quite some time now. used to order a lot from them. but from last month or so i am not able to order anything. Whenever i order something it gives security reason error and wont process the payment. Two times the payment was processed but later order was closed and paymet refunded due to same security reason. Tried multiple debit and credit cards but in vain. Talked to their helpline several times but everytime they say your issue will be resolved but didnt. I've just placed my first order on Aliexpress. By reading a couple of posts here it seems that custom duty implementation relies purely on luck OR is their any logical explanation for this matter.
besides luck, it depends upon the invoice value....if amount is nominal (like 10 USD) then it will be ignored n no custom shall be applied....if hi value item then will be inspected n custom shall be fixed as per rates

as far as price is concerned...u can ask seller to make invoice of lesser amount like 10USD....but IP camera might have to get special permission from PTA or some regulatory authority which i dont have idea

in my opinion, our dear country's current economic condition is more important that saving few bucks...my humble advice is to reduce imports as much as we can to play our part in revival of economy and building FX reserves.
IP cameras are commonly available in Pakistan, in open market as well as online stores. you can buy according to you requirement and budget. if you are in lahore you can visit hall road to choose among many options available there.

Well I have ordered about a dozen ip cameras from aliexpress and sold them, never hold by customs.. Just tell seller to put low price of 8 dollars on parcel.

Yes MCB Lite is cheap. But I have heard dispute and refund are a pain in the ass.
