how can you go for UBL wiz card??? can anyone get it?? i heard, its provided on only selected branches. btw ubl debit card is now activated for long time without any charges. and MCB has stopped its usage for international buying i think. it doesn't work on aliexpress.
and how much UBL charges for dollar conversion n all their service fee for a purchase on aliexpress??

MCB silver debit card does not work online. Only Lite does

i have ordered about 100 products till now from aliexpress.

you need to learn to wait if you want to buy from aliexpress. they sell good products if you buy from right people, shipping is too long.. anywhere from 1-2months but 95% of the time parcel to get delivered, if not than you can ask for refund no problem

debits cards used to work before this election, now they dont. maybe some bank might have allowed it but majority of them dont work.i bought like 20+ items from AE via standard chartered debit card- now i cant...

I don't think SBP has banned debit cards as my Meezan Bank's silver VISA debit card is working just fine. Pakistan has a democratic capitalist system, hence every person has the right to buy whatever the hell he or she wants to buy, within the boundaries of laws, of course!

It's just our commercial banks who don't want to pay hefty fees and taxes to the government by facilitating their customers with international money transactions via VISA and MasterCard. And SBP isn't taking this matter too seriously, which is a shame.

i made a payment on aliexpress, it got flagged. it said to claim to alipay, when i went there, it asked to verify your payment. it asked identity card pic, debit card pic which i was using and bank statement necessarily. i uploaded nic card pic and debit card front pic. now they want bank statement pic which shows the card number to verify. i think i dnt have that bank statement mentioning debit card no. plus one more doubt it my mind. is it safe to upload such info on alipay? isn't there any kinda fraud ?? and did any of you face this kind of issue. i fear i uploaded debit card pic without hiding some of the digits. it is risky but in the hurry, i uploaded it. plz anyone. do answer.

what kind of caution???
i had already sent them the my card pic and nic pic. it happened while i was paying from ali express mobile app and during payment, and payment failed. the error occurred during payment is also mentioned among the help centre questions or queries. the error code was csc_7200026. but sending nic, bank card and bank statement pics doesn't expose to me the risk of fraud???
and if anyone has faced such issue, can kindly share how they proceeded with it.

A little over an year ago I ordered a GTX750Ti, and the experience was a mixed bag.

On the plus side, the GPU was (and still is) 100% fine and arrived in mint condition. On the downside, it got stuck at customs. I won't bore you with details but suffice to say, one have to be pretty good at confrontation and negotiation to get an international parcel out of customs, otherwise your pocket will be a lot lighter on the way back!

At the end of the day, I barely managed to save-up 1.5K so... I think it's best to buy locally, at least when it comes to Nvidia GPUs.

If you want to save big money then order an RX580 4GB which goes for 15k on AE, but fetches a bit over 20k locally (21-23k on OLX). You'll save a minimum of 5-6k if you buy that GPU from AE, provided you manage to get it out of the customs without paying any bribes, which is much easier said than done!

Same goes for RX470 and 570 which go for just 11k and 13k respectively on AE, but set you back around 15k and 17k respectively in the local markets.

As for Nvidia GPUs, you're better off buying them locally. There's no point! GTX950 2GB goes for 10k on AE, whereas locally they go for 9-9.5k, the last time I checked.

I am inclined towards rx 580, but my Dell 9010 Optilex (MT) power supply is just 275W and rx 580 requires 500 w and above psu. Can you recommend a good PSU?

Well, I'd advise against it.

First, the thermal design efficiency of the 9010 MT chassis is right around 200W (as per my estimation), whereas the real world TDP of the RX580 alone is almost 190W, and Ivy Bridge (3rd Gen.) i5s and i7s draw 77W on their own. Meanwhile, the 9010 MT only has ONE fan,and it's a relatively small fan to begin with (80mm). You need at least two high RPM 120mm fans (intake, exhaust) to efficiently cool out the heat generated by a 300W system.

Secondly, RX580's length is going to be an issue as well. All 580s are anywhere from 9" to 11" tall (according to Techpowerup GPU database) and occupy dual slots whereas even 8" GPUs are going to be a tight fit in that chassis, due to the awkward placement of the SATA connectors right alongside the PCIe slot. Take a look:

With these limitations in mind, I think your best option is a mini GTX1060, which requires just 115W to run, yet offers performance comparable to RX590s.
