Update on my case: Went to GPO Lhr today and provided them with the receipt of my purchase and to my surprise the custom tax they put on my $184 purchase is PKR 14k. Initially the guy over there calculated the custom based on 205 rate of USD. I argued over it and was only able to negotiate it to 14k. As per them, any purchase of worth more than PKR 5k is subject to custom duty equivalent to 50% of the purchase.
50% is too much so we should shop on things below $25??
Sir I won't be ordering again from aliexpress. GPO ka chakar lgana itself is super hectic.
I don't know how they imposed 50 percent flat tax on your camera. That old man and young boy sitting next to him they both are clowns. They are exploiting people. There are specific categories how much you could impose tax on different products. Taxation experts could guide you better.
The dash cam comes under automotive category and the tax was calculated from the excel sheet. That young boy entered the values in excel sheet and told me the custom tax. I was wondering I could've edited the order's page to keep the product under valued, that's indeed unethical but 50% duty just does not make any sense.
Bhai ye he tou govt ko samajh nahi aata ke if they implement ridiculous taxes like on mobile phones, people will find a way around and overall govt will loose tax income. E.g if they keep highest pta tax slab rate at 10k or even 20k i am sure a person buying Samsung s22 or anyother high end phone will pay it but if u increase it to 85000 even the richest people will find imei patching option more feasible than legally registering the phone. I even gave same suggestion through citizen portal but they gave some lame excuse. Even from religious point of view tax is allowed but it has to fulfill 4basic requirements. I also attached the fatwa about these 4 requirements but they didnât paid any heed to it.
A quick advice is requested:I bought a crucial SSD (MX500 512gb) for my 2010 laptop (core i5 first gen) and its performance is very good. Now i am thinking to buy an SSD for my desktop which i use very rarely but my children use it. Already have 500gb hdd installed and also installed the hdd of my laptop (500gb) in it after exchanging it with ssd. Now which SSD should i buy? I posted this question in this forum is because i am getting SSD from AliExpress (Goldenfir around 4k for 256gb) very cheap and i have almost decided to go for 256 gb version instead of 512gb because of already installed hdd in desktop so i just need to get boot time and normal working performance of my desktop better.Other options i have are Adata SU750 256gb on daraz sale costing around Rs 5850/- and from UAE through my friend Crucial MX500 500gb around 9.5k and Samsung EVO 870 500gb for around 10.5-11kSo what u guys say about buying Goldenfir from AliExpress and save alot of money? Or buying Adata from daraz?
I would not suggest cheap SSDs or RAMs from aliexpress as they use rejected/QC failed chips and its performance/life would be totally on your luck. Since you have and old PC and just want it for OS installation, any cheap SSD would do. I would suggest what I did for my old laptop that kids use, get a cheap 128/256 Gb used SSD from parts market and it will serve you just fine. Health can be checked before buying via software and shopkeepers usually show it also when selling. I bought one 128Gb 3 years back for Rs.1500 and still works perfectly.
Bro I bought used HDD and its still working but its performance remained quite degraded These used SSD sellers claim that these ssds are system pulled etc etc but what u r saying about AliExpress is more true for our market. I always say that these used/refurbished mobiles and computer parts are âchalay to chand tak na chalay tou sham takâ and i tell this because of my around 20-22 years of experience of computer market and around 12yrs of mobile market shopping experience And Goldenfir quality may be debated compared to big brand ssds. I am not buying from 3rd party seller(where there is more doubt of rejected items) i am buying from official store. Interestingly there are more negative reviews ratio about Adata SSD on daraz then i think about Goldenfir on AliExpress. I want to ask if someone here has himself experienced this brand or some other brand because as i said I bought one of the best SSDs i.e. crucial MX500 for my laptop but now keeping in view my desktop usage and budget constraints asking for advice on buying cheaper SSD.
Better not to order any electronic device from AliExpress. Its price with custom duty will make it much more expensive, moreover as said earlier, these Chinese electronic devices are not reliable, no claimable warranty either.
I have recently imported 3 anker chargers 2 20w together and one 30w separately and both packages reached with only 100rs custom duty eachMay be my area GPO is head office of Karachi and customs at Karachi have more mercy in themAnd if u see reviews of Goldenfir u will also tilt towards it and many pakistanis have posted good reviews about it
Yes to complain. I sent my complaint on this address and after a week parcels started arriving.
Anyone having any idea which OBD2 scanner is best and cheapest? I want one which must be compatible with both Suzuki Swift (2013) and Mira EiS (2013).If someone can share link of AliExpress?? I hope Customs will not confiscate or impose duty on it?
go to local market and buy old models of known brand ssd
adata from daraz is good deal. go for nvme if your motherboard supports it.
Bought Samsung 870 evo
Used SSDs/HDDs are No No. If you want to lose data then sure buy them.
I'm not saying buy used ones... I'm saying buy older model if you can save some money
Bought a plug a play auto speed door lock for sportage from Ali express, works like a charm. Highly recommended
