todays dollar rate is 1.00 USD = 101.900 PKR from xe.com

MCB Charge 104.02 pkr

i.e. 3 rs above per dollar.. at the time of signup they said that they do not charge extra only require annual fee..
its not the case.

in this regard ubl wiz is much better and cheap.. only 370rs first time charges no annual .. and they charge usd at 106rs....

$ 5.12 = 532.58 pkrs charged,
$ 5.49 = 571.07
$ 5.92 =615.79

Standard chartered debit card mei refund ho jata hy .. But refund open market dollar rate pe hota hy

Here is a partial image of the customs charge. The postman didn't allowed me to open the receipt for reading. He wanted to pay first.

Where can I verify how much I am taxed on this item from customs? i mean what is the authenticity of below paper ? any way to verify it ? its highly possible that this is forged.

For comparison of what each charges could mean I am attaching a receipt of one of previous item.

If you work it in reverse using the numbers you have posted, it makes no sense, no round number comes up.

I think 195 is likely the duty @15% (used the "other" category) because 195/0.15 = 1300 (your declared value is $13=1300 right ?)

Also, 306 divided by 0.17 gives a round figure of 1,800. And right next to 306 is written "ST" which could mean sales tax.

So this is a little confusing...you could have asked the post man for the meaning of each of these....

Ideally you should have simply paid it and gone to the post office for information for future reference.

this is a very good website for online shopping plus one can do buisness like a member here collects order like i want to order a camera other wants shoes etc etc now he should order these items and sell to members with a bit profit of like 10% it will be a great buisness as most of the people want to order but are unable to do becuase of lengthy procedures

the other day i went to post office and i paid the customs and thanked God that i got it ..
very poor condition of post office .. manhandling of parcells .. aweful. and on my parcel it was written 420 by post office .. probably waiting for a lottery to be tossed for it

This thing is not practiceable, because of our poor Pakistan Post Services....

One is not sure if he will be able to receive the item or not... according to my calculations out of 46 completed orders, 20% were lost.

I got my money back, but I am sure those sellers will think of not sending to Pakistan because of their loss... I am sure these Pakistan Post Guys are stealing stuff....
