How many km's was the car driven after fill when you took this shot ? 10 - 30 ? 1.5 can't do 21km/l! Neither 1.3 can!

Well, my Aspire Prosmatec just did 7000 km & now i am a bit satisfied in Petrol Consumption. It used to do max 8km/l in local & 12km/l on highway.Until 4500 km even i was making my mind to Sale the car just because of This Petrol Consumption thing which was coming equal ti a 1.8 Reborn. i would like to mention that car never did a Long route journey outside Rwp/Isb.

So after 4500, we went To Sialkot-Lahore-Rawalpind-Lahore-Rawalpindi-Faisalabad-Rawalpindi in a single trip of 1 month which was on Mway & with in City so at 6000km i changed oil & had the 2nd inspection. Changed Air Filter too.

JUST after this 6000km Service & riding Aspire on Mway it was like a Magic & car started to Increase Fuel Efficiency. i dont have the pics but details of current mileage given by mu 2013 Aspire Prosmatec 1.5 are below:

Local : Avg 10.4 km/l Avg Speed : 45 km
Long Route : Avg 12.9 km/l Avg Speed 135km

All mileage is with A.C ON & Light foot

I dont know bout 21 but as it stands i travel from hyd-khi and back once every week and i have noticed that whenever my driver drives no more than 5-6 liters of petrol is consumed. The distance between the two cities is about 160-170km i think. Calculate how much km that gives per liter i am too lazy to do it myself.
The above mentioned is for one way journey.

I have a Honda Insight whixh is a Hybrid car , Although hybrid didn't did much job @saving fuel on motorway but CVT and efficient engine did , Max we did was 24km/l @speed of 100km/l with 5 people while going to Faisalabad!
You can see the needle we topped it up!
Speed is also visible.
This time with two people @110 it did 24.2 km/l but while returning my dad drove it fast 135-40 and took it till 168km/h so the avg decreased to 21.9!
For a Hybrid with CVT it is possible but not for a City with bigger engine and more speeds and on a short trip!

Well as i said ill be going making the trip again on monday so i will definetly make sure that i take the values
Oh and another i read it somewhere on pw probably on this very thread as well that the actuall milage is always 1-2kms lesser then the values shown on odometer.

16.0 KMpl on Motorway with AC

This is the max I was able to achieve with a very very light foot on Motorway during initial 1000KMs.
Btw I have started flooring after the 1000KM check and have noticed that this is quite a fast car. Though I miss the pickup in second gear of my 2000 Civic.

The Honda service center claims 12-13KMPL in city and 14-15 on Highways.

I did 182 KM after refill
This is not one time average.
When I buy this car, average was between 16 to 17.5 KM
Now average increased.
Before my last refill I have consumed full tank with an average 20+ KM/L
This time I refilled petrol from TOTAL filling station,Thokar
After this refill, on my first trip average was 24.5 KM/L
now after several trips from Thokar to Punjab Co-operative society, average vary between 20.9 to 21.4 KM/L

One Problem, regarding Fuel Meter of Aspire

Just the Moment when fuel Needle hits last Bar, & Yellow Fuel Indicator lights up, even filling 10-12 liters of petrol sometimes needle do not goes up & Yellow Fuel line stays on though car does travel equivalent to the fuel filled.

i mean to say, Aspire has 42 liter fuel tank, 10 Lit is 4th portion of tank filled & some petrol is still there in tank when Yellow light turns ON, still Needle does not go up ???

Once I got 10 liters of petrol and I was texting at that time, not looking at the meter. Even after 5 minutes, needle didn't go up. I thought that I just got conned, once I started my car again, Voila, 10 liters showed up:P

Well, German cars are more accurate, when it shows E on the gauge, it really means E.
Even cars in USA, you can drive for about 50-100km even after it shows E:)
