Owner's Club: Honda City Aspire 2013 1.5L

I'm also at the verge of deciding between the two and I find city apire better value for money even when compared to corolla 1.3L.
u see city aspire 1.5 PT is 40K less expensive than corolla 1.3L GLI Auto (1804 K vs 1845K). Still it has leather seats, multimedia/nav, alloys, keyless entry that corolla does not have. altis 1.6 once launched is surely gonna be more expensive.

i infact did a pro/con analysis and also asked for other members' advice but somehow that post didn't get posted here

So have you decided anything or still waiting for for corolla 1.6 to release?

Can't wait any more for 1.6 launch, even if i book the available variants now, will get delivery in Dec

Btw i have heard that the delivery of XLI and GLI is also taking a month atleast or more, is that the case?

I have recently bought an aspire and went out for a drag race with a friend. I was previously a Toyota and nissan owner and this is my first time with a honda. I must admit that Honda has some pretty slick engineering and I was impressed by the city's performance. I must say that there was a 'year of manufacture' gap between both cars but still the honda city didn't even let the civic get close . So aspire is definitely a kick if your looking for a mid sized family sedan with a nice fuel average and a power punch.

I have found 2005 Civic to be quite different from 2000 and 2007 in terms of initial acceleration or 'power punch', as you would label it.
Though Aspire is pretty fast but Civic is a different league altogether. Yes, I am impressed by Aspire even after using Civic for 10 years but like I said, Civic has better control and drag per gear.

I must admit that City has a good handling and it is a fun-to-drive car (except for the bumpy ride). I would label it a Baby Civic in terms of engineering

Challenge a PT Civic 2014 for initial pickup, this 1.5 will seem a bit faster than 1.8 till 120 KMPH. But im warning you not to try this with Manual Civics

Yesterday finally went for Aspire, P/T (Got it on the same day ) Lucky me.

Been good so far (But can't really say much about the car till I drive it for a while). I also have a Reborn so it will be interesting to compare once the car completes its initial running.

Thinking of getting 185-65/15 XM2 any ideas from where I can get these (In Islamabad) ?

P.S. If you plan to increase the width i.e. 185 to 195, DO NOT go for 195/65, choose 195/60 instead. XM2 is a popular tire

In the end I went with XM2 195/65 was unable to find 195/60. Just drove it home an hour ago and the difference in driving compared to euro star is night and day !

Got them from F-10 if anyone is wondering , 9250 each, gave my euro stars for 3k each.

195/65 will be relatively bumpier... Good luck with that

But as you have changed from Eurostar, I am sure theres a huge difference for u already

Depends if you are still accelerating. Otherwise I would think its higher than it should be.

Even my aspire was above ek rpm at the speed of 100
Where as corolla 1.3 remains at 3k on 100kmh

is anyone here who actually would prefer the last tail lights over the newly announced one?
I still feel the bumpers were better before. probably the newer offering is good if they were to launch a sports version.
