Boss itni leg pulling to honi chaahiyay
, I agree with your assessment of there not being enough cooling on the 3uz swaps which are to blame for the failures/DNFs at the same time i wholeheartedly agree with MitsuMan's assessment of balance being more critical vs. power in the rally game. Hence my preference of the 3uz/1uz vvti over the 2jz when it comes to the right engine for the evo. Abhi bhi time hai, saw some clean 3uzs at Haji zamans last week, 2jz ko nissan ke liyay waqf kar do. Maan lo meri baat!
Having critically looked at numerous swaps on the rally scene, i cant help but feel that most of the emphasis/focus is on the engine placement/fitment with little to no regard for peripherals which are as critical in my books. what bugs the hell out of me is incomplete/bad welds, bolt holes made using blow torches etc. etc. and the general "challay ga" mentality.
Bottom line on "Juggars", All rally vehicles are Juggars which are perfected over a number of races/ over time. it took Xraid 10 years and a lot of development/costs to get to a dominating position. Peugeots 2008 DKR is newer/better specced on paper vs. the mini but came nowhere near it in 2015.
To all you Juggari's out there...Keep at it! it is my belief that a properly done "juggar" will dominate our rally scene in the not so distant future.... my two cents
