That tricky question diesel compression tester are expensive even 3s lags testers :mad:

My advise it to get valve clearance done first you will notice difference in blow

Bhai may nay to 2012 may 1994 2.5 lia tha or lahore peshawar ,peshawar to naran shogran ayubia waghaira may bohot chalaya hai koi problem nahi hoti,ab 2.8 lia hai iski pick b bohot achi hai or workshop k chakar b ziada nahi karnay parhtay...intercooler pajero prado say ziada aram deh hotay hai

Do you think, buying spare parts would be a big issue ? we r not heavy user of vehicle, perhaps not more than 5000 km/year. we need it for a family, 7 seater. Do you have any other suggestion for 7 seater, such as toyota Surf (budget within 12-15 lakh ). Kindly do reply. Many thanks!

AoA, very informative thread. I am also looking to buy a 1995/96 Pajero Evolution with 3500cc Petrol engine. I want to use it as a daily runner in Karachi and very rarely on the highway. Can anyone give an idea of the fuel consumption of this variant? Also is it better to buy the 2800cc diesel version or the 3500cc petrol version? Which is more fuel efficient, cheaper and easier to maintain? Thanks

Can someone help me, I want to buy Pajero 2.8 D intercooler, but I am not sure if it is reliable , many people said it's not good on motorways like it's not good above 100kph that it starts to overheat, please someone guide me with an honest review. How is its ride? Is it better than Surf 1997?

Does only the diesel engine overheat or 3.5 Petrol also overheats? If I drive Pajero 1994 3.5 exceed at 120-130 kph, is it also going to overheat?

Pajero is not as reliable as a Toyota and requires a expert Pajero mechanic to maintain it.

Pajero 2.8 diesel is not motorway friendly and unfortunately due to vehicle age, bad maintenance history, etc, the possibility of issues increases.

Pajero ride is better than a Surf but overall Toyotas are better.

Pajero petrol engines are better than diesels engines and have not heard of overheating complains.
