I have a question is it worth changing a 660 intercooler turbo mini pajero from auto to manual? And will the 4x4 work after doing so and what problems can come up after doing so?

My experience say ...... 1100cc manual non turbo is best or in low price then 660cc manual non turbo .

I have Mini pajero 95 Model, regstered 2006. Since i went to islamabad on constant speed of 120. My Jeep has gone mad.... First of all the speed never exceeds 60 and that also takes time. there is no pick/power in the car. The fuel average became disgusting. before it was 11-12 and now its doing 5km per Liter. It has 660 cc turbo engine. i took to 100 mechanics and none could fix it... some one says the gear has a problem, some says computer, some says turbo ( I have changed turbo and no affect) and some says mounting... Really i am going crazy..... Some one please help me out

buddy i too had mini 660 cc non turbo automatic gear car, its speeds never goes beyond 60 and there is no solution to it since its body is heavier than its engine. So stretching your car speed to 120Km/hr might have created problems for you. My car fuel average is same i.e. 11km/ltr. Gear Computer card should be changed only if car doesnot shift gear otherwise donot waste money on changing it.

hii members I have 2008 mini pajero 660cc.....my problem is the car fuel average is too low around 6km in 1 ltr....other is the car gear shifts on 6 or 7 rpm.....which is too high please recommend me some thing dat makes my car work properly....thanx waiting 4 ur advises and replies....

Ali I need your help. One fine morning my mini 97 manual non turbo 1100 CBC engine suddenly stopped. One valve was broken and it hit one piston which were replaced. Then it started missing spark plug sticks changed as were worn out. Then car used to run fine for 6-7 km and then power starts reducing and a stage comes when it refuses to move even on full pressing of accelerator but when I restart moves fine for half km and same again on mechanics advice changed ignition coil ; fuel pump; and injectors as he said one ice of ecm card was getting hot after running due to injectors but problem is still there. Now he says replace computer card. I will appreciate your advice. Also tell is there EGR valve in mini as it could be a culprit if yes location ?. Can I talk to you ? Your cell number ?. Regards

I am assuming it is an automatic ? unfortunately there is no cheap solution for it. You need replace the engine with a 1100cc engine (wiring and control unit included), also change the rear end (deferential). Also if you want to go all out convert it to manual 5-speed and don't forget to change the exhaust system to 1.5". I did all this my jeep runs fast and averages 12km/l without AC
