All PAjero mini owners...I am facing similar questions being asked by Gondal1970...as i want one for my sibling and they want to use it once in year for visit northern areas other than city driving in ISB ALSO other option suggested by my friends are Suzuki Jimny, which one is more robust and user friendly...appreciate your valuable feedback.

I have recently bought mini Pajero. It's my first experience and first Pajero. I am really a dumb guy and having no experience in Pajero. I want to know to how to shift 2H 4H 4L. And what they do.

I am seeing a small liver like gear and Its having some values on it like

4H
--pressed 4L
2H

But the liver moving only up and down then why do I pressed the liver.

Can anybody help me and let me know what is the proper way to shift from 2H to 4H and 2H to 4L and 4H,4L to 2H.

I shall be very thankful to you fellows.

2H is for normal driving and 4H is for more traction where your vehicle os slipping and 4L is where it becomes an offroader it almost doubles the power to move but very slow, now why do you have to press the lever? That is when you shift to 4L from 4H you need to press and then it will move further so that you don't do that accidentally while the vehicle is moving.

By the way you guys will only be looking in vain for a manual. Been there and done that. The car was only sold in Japan and grey imported in some numbers to Russia and Ireland. You won't find a English manual for it. Not a popular enough car for someone himself to do a translation.
