Diesel ones need specialist maintenance after a long time, specialist that are next to nill here. That is for pump and injector calibration. All these petrol you see are custom auctions, embassy auctions. None from the actusl time of the vehicle's initiation.
As for performance, yes, petrol ones are fuel heavy but people here prefer them because most of them have never owned a diesel before and are afraid to try

Aoa. I've seen a pajero 2nd gen with V6 intercooler written on its body. Do petrol V6 intercoolers exist?

My budget is around 25 lac. I like pajero 2MK a lot. But mostly people are suggesting me to go for a Surf 93, 94 instead. I know potential problems (resale, reliability, comfort)etc of both. I need suggestion so as to why not choose pajero over surf.

Pajero is overall a much better family vehicle, the cons are that parts and mechanics are specific, not every tom, dick and harry can maintain one

I have a Pajero 1994 Diesel engine (5 Door, 7 Seater). It's my family car been with us for almost 10 years now we rarely drive it Once or twice a month at most because bikes are just easier.

Was reading something interesting... Since gen 1 Pajero (1986) Mitsubishi is using Exactly same Diesel Engine in all diesel varieties of Pajero till Pajero (2024).
Is that true?

One more thing.... Can he fix it's fuel average? My engine is 4D56 Diesel. I have it's intercooler in my storeroom it's missing some mounting points I guess.
