How to know which version is installed in your vehicle? In 2016 got the engine of our Pajero gen 2 replaced with 4D56. But we don't know which version of 4D56 we have now.

Scrapyard in Pakistan are full of IDI 4d56 some some from Mitsubishi some from hyundai (shezore engine)

If you got a latter version it will have no diesel pump and ecu etc

But you most probably ended up with idi version

Turbo version are Mitsubishi only while the in NA both Hyundai and Mitsubishi verision can be found

Hyundai version is slightly better as it has tinner piston ring design

Assalam u alaikum guys, hope everyone is doing well, my Mitsubishi Pajero, 1993, 2.8 diesel, manual transmission, with 203k on the odo has been giving me this new problem lately ever since I had her fuel filter and gear oil changed, as soon as I rev her and let go of gas, the idle comes down, the car gives a shudder (kaanpti hai) vibration and then idle becomes smooth, it happens also between shifting gears. It's driving me crazy. Oh and when the AC is on, the issue doesnt happen, the idle comes down smoothly and all. If anyone knows about this, please help. JazakAllah

No Sir only in 3400 cc of Pajero Dakar Rally Car is intercooled Turbo, Production Models are regular GDI engines
