I have a few queries for my gen1 pajero 2.5l td for which the help of experts would be much appreciated.

1. The value of EGT in this vehicle. If so from where to purchase it in Rwp/Islamabad and its approximate price.
2. Can the turbo of gen2 be installed without major modifications.
3. The stock exhaust pipe is approximately 1.75" in diameter. Would upgrading the exhaust pipe to 2.25-2.5" be of any benefit.

1. Sir EGT & Boost gauge is a must for diesel turbo engine.... if you have EGT gauge you will know wats happening with engine and so you can control it.... Price is around 6500-7000/- It is available with us, contact # 0344-5512155

2. Yes the turbo of gen2 can be installed without any modification

3. Recommended exhaust piping is 2.5" yes it will benefit you by decreasing the EGT

Or you can also use Liqui Moly 15W-40 Super Formula as an engine oil that is 2500/- for 4 liters

Snorkel question. What does a snorkel do besides increasing submersion level. Does it have a healthy effect on respiration of the engine if submersion is not intended? Pajero 2.5TD. Thanks

There are theories but it does nothing as per me and kind of reduces top end speed by 10kph

I m also going in the same dates...n last year I was also there in the snow...I would say there is no rule for ice...
Some recommendations only:
Keep your car engaged in 4 h...
Lower the tire air pressure around 18-20 pounds.
Keep the speed slow
Harsh brakes should be avoided
Steering should b very properly manoeuvre.
U can use snow chains if u want to go on harsh ice.

Lower air pressure. No instant race or braking. Maintain constant speed.
