Is 5vz a nice choice for my Pajero gen 2
And what changes will I have to do to the transmission and differentials

I am planning to purchase a 5 door 2nd generation..
As I am purchasing SUV for the first time i am totally an beginner..
i will be using it for both on and off road purposes as with this SUV i want to treat my passion for travelling
I am more interested for the 2800cc inercooler one but i have heard from people that pajero makes trouble on motorways and highways when driven on high speed for long routes? is there something like that and if so than how can we overcome it?
some people have advised me that after purchasing a 2.8 intercooler i should swap the engine with a 3000cc petrol engine so that it wont make any issue on high speed
Please if the people already using this Car could guide me about above mentioned points

It is a nice choice, given the transformation is done completely with no spared expense. Attempting jogar and low budget conversion is a big no here

30 years old, mid size diesel suv.... They all don't like high speed very much as they aren't designed for it.
it will do fine at 100-110kmh, above that is asking for trouble

does the same happens with petrol engines? or the issue is only with diesel?

Diesel, but just the old ones. New ones don't have this issue. Petrol ones have other issues

Dear all Experts,

I have 2 Gen 5 door 4m40 and i am not able to get the RPM fixed my mechanic/electrician is not able to find the problem, the RPM meter doesn't work at all, Any suggestions? where is the RPM sensor located in diesel engine and is there someone in rwp/isb i can go to or somehing to check on my own?

Also i am looking for new tyres what would be a best tyre size for both city and offroad as well without compromising on roadgrip and fuel economy in R15 rim

Also any shop recommendation for getting genuine accessories of Pajero

It is located on the fuel pump. Checked for loose grip which is the culprit in most cases, otherwise replace the sensor.

If extreme off road driving like on rocky terrain, sand, mud etc is not included in your driving conditions, opt for HT (Highway Terrain) tyres. Nexen has some good options.

Don't have a picture but there aren't many electrical connections in a 2nd Gen's Injection pump. There is a shut off valve and rpm sensor. Don't think you will find a new one. Might need to try your luck at the used parts markets. Not aware of Rawalpindi markets also.

By the way, one reason of rpm meter malfunction is the circuit behind the dial. Have you checked that? There may be soldering issues or circuit disconnection.

Go to Nazeer Autos in G-8, ask for sattar, he can get it done. Or go to VIP motors on motorway service road, Javaid ustad can help you there..
