Get the initial service done i.e. all fluids, filters replacement. Check for any leakages, get them resolved, check the intercooler and turbo, that they are working flawlessly. And check all the bushings and suspension bits checked, and replace all that are faulty with OEM bushes,
I would advice to get a Pajero with a history, one without one can be a handful for the first few months.
