Considering Spare Parts, Mechanics & Fuel Quality 2.5TDi or 2.8TDi are the best engines, no sensors, no electrical issues, easy to maintain. Spare parts for V6 are very hard to find.

Considering most travels on motorway & long trips 2.5TDi & 2.8TDi will suit you best. 2.5TDi can give 8-9 Km/ltr in local & 10-12 KM/Ltr in long. 2.8TDi version can give you 7.5-9 Km/Ltr in local & 10-11 Km/Ltr on long. Both engines can go above 120Km/Hr, especially 2.8Tdi can go till 160 KM/Hr.

Not agreed with the mileage that you have quoted brother. An auto variant will not give this mileage. A manual may achieve it.
As far as speeding is concerned, yes they can go above 120 easily but what happens next? lol

My 4m40T Pajero seems to have a power band from 2000 to 3000 Rpm. Under 2000 it lacked power not torque but substantial ability to accelerate under load and above 3000 it seems to run out off puff nearing 3500. Was your experience similar?

No brother. My experience isn't like that.
It doesn't lack power around the rpm that you mentioned.

Sir nothing will happen,.... i have experienced it my self on my 3-Door 4D56.... even driven it continuous at 140 KM/Hr, nothing happened.

Friend of mine owns Pajero Gen-II 2.8TDi Auto, he is getting 7-8 KM/Ltr on heavy foot.... On light foot you can get 9KM/Ltr in local easily....

Pretty much through what the 3 diamonds have to offer in their 4 wheel range I'd say.......
Once you get the hang of the gasoline variants diesels are like..... Nah!
Especially if you can manage to lay your hands on a decent 74, or even bigger, a 75 motor.
The 72s, however are relatively simpler and cheaper to maintain.....and can still put that smile across your face!
Keep one and only then you'd realize what am preaching holds good!

And, lastly, lets keep @SPINBACHA his L200 here.....its one little tough truck Mitsu fans can be proud of!

Osman bhai in my opinion i thnk for 6G74 or 75 you have to own a petrol pump.... so it wont get heavy on your pocket... According to my knowledge V6 at its best can give around 5-7 Km/ltr not more than that. and then there is another issue that is engine parts which are not easily available in ISB/RWP.

I will again politely disagree with the mileage. It is only possible when you play with the diesel pump and control it from there.

As far as your own jeep is concerned, it is a manual and most Importantly, it is yours. Exceptions are always there.

90 aur 100 mey kya faraq hai?
anywaz the intercooled turbo easily touch 140, did many times
the non turbo has obviously lees power. No problem in your vehicle

Atleast it should go till 120 km/hr minimum...its a 2500cc engine...but fuel average on long is awesome...it gave me around 15 or 16 which is not even believable by me also...

Increase the fuel from the pump to a point where you see a little bit of black smoke under load at low rpms.
