Konsi garrari kharab Hai? If it's a clean transmission, get it repaired but from someone who knows his work

He says shifter garari to it. To me the condition didn't look good. I'm looking for a kabuli transmission now. I don't trust their repairs as the repairing guy says he gives no guarantee.

Shifter garri isn't too big of an issue, did the transmission have any issues shifting? Jerks or lags?

When I bought it did but after changing the oil and filter it got okay but then all of a sudden this happened

I don't know how much relevance this would be to you - a friend had a gen 2 SWB as well and had the exact same problem after he got the gear oil changed. apparently the ECU got messed up and ended up having to change the ECU to resolve the issue. he even got the tranny fixed but the issue wasn't resolved.

its been a wk looking for exceed 2.8 and yet not found any in better rates

I called few and those who have sold told me that they have sell around 3-4 lacs lower than what they were asking. Just sharing a link below, whom i called today he said he sold out at 12 lac and see, his asking was 16 lac.

may i know where you live in khi? or you know any reliable mechanic for diesel engine around Johar mor?
looking forward to see couple of cars in this wknd.
i can check chassis, body paint and bit know how of engine too. but no idea how to check 4x4, turbo intercooler thing .....

During my research about Pajero , I came to know that if you need to change the fuel pump then you will need to replace the whole engine as no mechanic in Pakistan can calibrate the fuel pump with engine . Is it true and the cost of fuel pump is 1.5 lac ?

I've been through all your comments on this thread since you put your hands on this monster and had some mechanical and electrical work done, its a marvelous journey for you i think.

Even so far in these 2 nd a half year, whatever money you have spent on this is refundable to you. As prices are touching skies nowadays

May i know the average currently you are getting from your petrol engine? (btw i am interested in 2.8D )

It's illegal. Body change is only legal if custom has been paid on the body, which it mostly hasn't

When you changed gear oil the first time, how dirty was it

It was as black it could be. Nasty oil. According to previous owner, it was changed 10k ago. Don't know why people lie about oil changes. It was in terrible condition.

That maybe why the transmission gave up, wise decision to replace it. Hope you have sourced one
