in KHI where is E10 available ?

I know 3 stations where it is avialable -- also its only avialble a PSO

-PSO Korangi Industrial Area ( Next to Brooks Pharma)
-PSO Defence Market Phase 1
-PSO Khyban-e- Itihad (Near Carlton Exit fro Itihad)

Its avilable on most of the PSO Station.

Its not only about saving money, the higher octance rating of the E10 makes the car perform a minor some what better.

then try Hi-octane instead of E10, Remember every alternative/low priced product have some great disadvantages, there is nothing better than petrol:P Also remember, this is Pakistan, I never trust these type of things, they are saying E10 is a mixture of 10% ethanol +90% petrol, I can't believe it:(, they must be mixing 30% ethanol +70% petrol:P:( to earn some more......

infact e10 has higher octane rating than petrol, the disadvantage it has is les mileage...

then what is the advantage of it, majority of the people consider it as a little-cheap alternative, but mileage is less, where is the saving?
Most people purchase this keeping in mind its little low price, Octane rating comes second....

Coming to your second point: If 30% ethanol than better octane rating & no harm but mileage will also decrease.

as per the milage on E10, its prity decent, on my carbi Cultus I get 11-12Km/ Ltr and with A/C 10Km/Ltr.

haha chalo thanks you asked, But we need to know actual facts, i bought a Generator recently (obviusly its a carby engine)

In recomended fuels it says E10 can be used, infact any fuel rated atleast 87 RON . or higher octance level can be used. While E10 is 97 RON (as mentioned earlier by someone in this thread

The topic says it all, ive come across some Suzuki Ravis and Suzuki Bolans having a sticker saying "E10 not recomended" just next to the fuel tank cap. First i thot somebody pasted a after market sticker but since ive come across 5 to 6 Ravi/Bolans this seems official.

But the question is why? ive been using E10 in my Vitz since last 2 months im quite satisfied. ............

There has been a thread The new E10 fuel here. I've previously noted the same sticker and posted it in the same thread. Members @daniyalahmed and @KamranAslam posting in this thread have been active on than one too. They should've pointed you over there. Its no use discussing things again and again.

Because ethanol can eat away at fuel lines (both rubber and steel) and valve seats (only on those engines that weren't designed keeping E10 in mind). That's why. Your vitz engine was designed far later than Suzuki F8B, and as you know PakSuzuki won't take the pain of validating their fuel lines or cylinder head etc. for E10.

E10 is 10% ethanol 90% normal petrol..
Since ethanol has qualities similar to water it can screw up some engines

Ethanol doesn't have properties similar to water. Rather, it is hygroscopic (also called hydroscopic) just like diesel and can absorb atmospheric water. Since water is incompressible therefore conrods can bend (not the absorbed one, but that part which comes out after supersaturation).

BTW, some people really use ethanol instead of water (maybe they also think it is a substitute of water), but that is an addiction.

Not necessarily. However EFI cars are newer (by design) so it means they may have been validated for E10 use. Or those materials have been used in the fuel pipelines that don't get corroded by ethanol.

PS: its realy unclear and scary, to use E10 or not too. Every body has seperate feedback and views. At the moment im stoping to use it i guess.

One reason to stop using E10 is the same environmentalism that initiated the use of E10 in the first place. You have to use more fossil fuel to produce less renewable ethanol. I mean 1 liter of fossil fuel (non-renewable) is consumed to produce less than 1 liter ethanol. And even then, ethanol has a less calorific value (less energy per kg or liter) so there will be greater fuel consumption.

It is all very, very contradictory.

I personally do one E10 tankful after 6 or 7 petrol tankfuls b/c petrol quality is so pathetic engines knock even on complete ignition retard. This is maybe the only advantage. In places where people have access to good quality petrol should only use that.

Also, E10 is cheaper only b/c governments the world over subsidize it. Otherwise due to above-mentioned reason it would be expensive.

^ Personaly, i felt E10 to be better in term of performance, i mean a little higher aceleration, even now im not obsessed about e10, but i live near the PSO ittehad, so if im passing by there i get e10 rest im getting the usual Shell/Caltex/Total

four days ago i filled my tabk with E-10 .... suprisingly my car fuel millage has gone awsome first bar goes down at 114 KM .... on normal fuel its gone down at 75 to 80 KM... Guys will updat you millage after finnishing full tank. morover i feel a a very little smothness and a better performance.
