just a real example
got alto in 2012 and a friend got 96 se limited corolla
both same price around 850 mark
i believed his corolla will need more maintaince as i have a 0 meter
but story is oposite
that corolla is more reliable than a brand new suzuki
and i always advise ppl do not waste money on a 0 meter suzuki

that every one say 0 meter piece of mind is just like when ostrage feels danger puts his nexk in ground it is like lying to self that nahi sab ok hai 0 meter hai and u see a broken rad cap

and i can bet it was a 1.6 gl right if yes then your car comparing a EFI engine with car :S wow sir salute hai ap ko it a fact a EFI engine need less maintenance but is u say it was a e2 1.3 then I can surely say you are mistaken

this car is Beautiful...BUT ....if i were to spend 5 million i would be better off with an Audi A4.even a basic trim audi would suffice..or a low mileage c class would be on the list too..

I was not talking about racing but the stability of car we were crusing easily on 120km/h but the cow rolla was wobbling a lil as soon as it hit a pothole

sir if you think Liana is stable at 120kmph please have a drive in an old 7th gen civic (this was the gen of civic in market when liana was introduced)
you would know what stability is
liana has an extremely high body roll..facts are facts..but this was not the reason of Liana's failure anyway.

Suzuki's can be very reliable if properly maintained. Our 04 Cultus VXR, bought brand new, has never overheated. It has mostly been used on GT road and motorways.

On the other hand, our 03 VTi, bought at 80k km has:

-overheated twice; head gasket blew the first time, and t-stat failed the second time

-leaked most of its oil at once; this happened in the middle of a journey from Islamabad to Karachi

-A/C clutch failed for a couple of days, and started working for no reason

-power locks and power windows have failed multiple times

-parking lights and brake lights have failed (never happened on Cultus)

-there is a 'grrr-grrrr' sound that sometimes occurs in rain. It has never been successfuly diagnosed.

All in all, the Civic has stranded us multiple times on the road, while the Cultus has stranded us only twice; the ignition fuse blew at around 300k km, and the timing belt snapped once (it was long past its service life).

The myth of Suzuki being unreliable is just that: a myth. It mostly occurs when people don't maintain them properly. They think that "Suzuki hai, waise bhi kharab ho jani hai" and use cheap and incorrect fixes.

You cant compare Cultus with civic anyway , Civic is more of a demanding car ,if you maintain it properly and drive with care it wont disappoint you ,its one of the most comfortable rugged cars i kept !

I see a case of improper maintenance.

For the grrr sound take the car to dealership or just any silencer wala. The rubber holding the exhaust pipe has been broken. most probably.

There is a drag on the car accompanying the sound. Probably a bearing somewhere which acts up when exposed to water.

driving posture my friend the lower the seating posture the more car feel stable I have taken my liana to ridiculous speeds and I have posted pic of that speeds on pw as well it was stable it does't feel heavy on road but it stick to it sit in khyber/swift(lowest pkdm) and you will feel that it glued to road

yeah it happens. do it and let me know. its just the pipe which vibrates when its extremely hot parts touch the cold water causing it to boil.

Since the origin of these cars is not indian they can be exported to Pakistan via Dubai or sirilanka but again would cost almost similar to what paksuzuki is selling. Indian currency + duty + transportation
