Both Vitara and Ciaz will be launched in Jan 2017. They will be imports. I called up Suzuki Macca motors and the salesman confirmed.

Talked to a Suzuki 3S dealership manager. They don't have any details yet but confirmed the rumors and estimated Celerio to be around 11 lacs, Ciaz around 18, and Vitara to be in 35-40 range.

Impossible prices.. 1150k is the price for cultus and you are expecting a newer, better and an updated car celerio to be cheaper.. haha.
Apv and jimny are well above 2m pkr and you expect a better and a fully loaded ciaz to be just 1.8m.. another haha

Besides, when our people say "gyara ke aas paas..." it could be anything but around that figure.

For the Ciaz, he did mention "wo to bari gari hai...athara bees tak ki hogi depending k wo kia dalte hai. Dekho na itney me to Corolla bhee aajati hai to surely kuch dekh ke hi price karengay shahid 18 ke aas pas ho".

No idea if it will be fully loaded or not. Remember that Ciaz is 1.4L engine so the taxes will also be accordingly. Why do you expect it to be higher than the City Aspire?

I expect cias tu b higher then city aspire because ciaz will be a cbu import just like jimny apv and kizashi.. cbu always have high prices but good quality.. so im personally expecting ciaz to be around 2500k.. when kizashi can be 5000k then you can expect anything.
Celerio will be around 1300k atleast.. my personal opinion.

It really depends if it will be an import or a localized one.

MarutiSuzuki Celerio LXI (the base version) costs less than WagonR LXI (INR 403,141 vs 409,652). So if WagonR can sell from 8.6lac to 10.5 lacs in Pak, why not a Celerio at the same price? Unless PakSuzuki decides to rip us off for no particular reason, when they normally do since the Cultus is more expensive than WagonR.

The basic Ciaz (VXI Manual) costs INR 753024 which translates to PKR 1162231. I know prices in Pak are a lot more but so is the price I am quoting. This ex-showroom in Delhi (does that include their taxes or without VAT/Sales Tax?).

I believe PakSuzuki is playing the gamble to get the govt. to allow them some concessions like those given to greenfield units. If they assemble it locally, it is not only possible but also probable. After all, the Cultus line would be vacant once production stops.

I see manufacturers are eyeing the low-cost SUV segment (Toyota with Fortuner, Honda with HR-V, BMW with X1) so Vitara is most probably going to be an import.

Indus motors has recently launched Revo in the 4.0 Mil price range. If PS is planning on a price of anywhere near 4.0 Mil. ..then they are dooming vitara even before launch. They have a price band somewhere between Gli and the less than the new Civic if they really want Vitara to be a raving success. Everyone knows from youtube that there are concerns about the interior dashboard plastic quality in the Vitara....compare pricing with a Civic and see the interior quality there.... anyway, the ball is in PS court until launch. Btw saw some pics. Hope they install a great touch screen in there. I do not see any Vitara-S in the pics which makes me believe that we are not getting the Turbo 1.4 ....that limits us to the 1.6 liter.

Spotted a transporter loaded with at least 8 ciaz at Korangi, karachi in the evening today. Probably heading to a dealership prior launch. Sorry couldn't take any pics as was driving alone and couldn't take the phone out.

Sad to see PS floating 3.8 and 4.2 million figures for the Vitara in a news article about CUV in the Dawn newspaper today. Revo is around 4 mill. It is a proper 4x4 with the added space and Toyota brand image. PS please reconsider price. Keep it below 3 Million if you really want it to succeed.
