the thing which fears me is the M13A engine which is the same offered with Liana. This engine has very negative impression among most of the dealers/ owners & mechanics and its considered as one of the major reasons of Liana not being that successful for PakSuzuki, and if the same M13A motor is being offered with Swift then i think the fate of Swift will not be too different from that of Liana. forget about features since Liana is also feature loaded but its something under the hood which actually makes a difference..

I have a 08 Jimny with a M13A running under the hood, uptil now its holding up great. I hav been using it as a daily runner for the past one year and Masallah its going great. I actually prefer to drive it rather than my city 03. Dont know y u r being so critical of M13A. its a great engine which packs alot of punch, some offroaders can also testify to it.

I Love this car, its really reasonably priced. and for all those complaining about Liana M13A, i have one from 2006 July, done 61k Kms (All on CNG except starting on petrol as its done automatically). No problem found yet, just done tappets settings once which costed around 5k Rs. If you keep your car maintainend you wont have troubles, just do basics things on time, like engine oil, air filter,oil filter, engine tuning, under body checkup after every 5k Kms. And you will always be happy with your ride

@Azad Jami, Bro, these are called spy shots and are very famous all around the world, people take spy shots of upcoming Ferraris and Lamborghinis, its just a Suzuki and that too a 5 year old model it wont do any harm, instead spy shots do good publicity for Free !

well in my opinion M13A is not a bad or faulty engine. The main thing in Liana I have noticed is the improper gear box due to which car doesnt accelerate on low rpm's, the gear ratios are too much large not suitable for 1.3 L car. My mechanic also told me that its not 1.3 liter gear box probably suitable for 1.5 or 1.6 l engines. I have a liana 2006 model only 17k driven so far my observation:

1. Good ride quality (for passengers NOT for driver).
2. Below average driving position.
3. Brake oil seal leaked from right front wheel on 7k kms.
4. Side door hooks are of really bad quality doors staring making noise after every 9-10k kms.
5. Right side ball joint is making noise, this is why I hate this car, a car only 17k driven in mint condition almost scratchless but ball joint become faulty. New ball joint cost 21k as i comfirmed from dealer few days back :S
