Few major factors for low sale are
1) shape
2) high price initially , now rdcud bt i thnk stil high.
3) peopl hav more choices in 10 lac range now i.e faw, mira n so many.
4) n how come a company can bring disgrace to its name by jst giving two front powrd windows ??? N rear one manul??? Have u seen such patheticnes any whr in da world?

yes see it in india and Indonesia it has only front pwr window...... u r not aware of powers of K series DOHC engine yet... thats why u r saying it

Brothers, I can not comment on point No. 1 to 3 as they are totally personal preferences, changing from person to person, but what I can say about the 4th comment is that having front power windows and rear manual windows is not some thing new in Wagon R, as the same has been incorporated in various cars around the globe. Here is one example of this fact:

If price for wagon-r vxl is still high, is the price of cultus justified as per its features?

V2 is very good addition to pakistani market, although it is more than 1300 cc so registration cost is high, yearly tax is high, wh tax is high, plus mileage can also be low per liter of fuel and after wagon r price drop it is 50k more so it is costlier upfront as well as long run but obviously it is offering more options. Durability is still in questions but if it is durable then it is currently best value for money package.

Faw V2 is 1298 CC ... Its Suzuki Swift which has 1328 CC Engine but the problem with Faw V2 is durability and resale value being China Maal

Mileage result for another 400 + kilometers on Wagon R, Done 414.3 kms in 24.86 liter petrol, refueling is done from same petrol pump, 414.3/24.86 = 16.66 km/liter in Karachi city traffic with 175/70/r13 on Alloy rims.

Bhai i dont have it. But i have driven it few times. As a couple of friends have it in lahore. I mever critizsed it i only mentioned the possible reason of slow sales. Even mehran owner will never agree on its problems..its a fact. Agree or not apni cheez ki koi nhn manta buraai. My wagon r friends in office want the prices to go up because they own it. Anyways... i apologize if discussion has been taken onto heart

My car mileage is without ac, with AC I get 15-15.5 km/l within city drive, recent mileage is calculated using fuel of Hascol pump sharah e faisal, usually I fill my tank from Byco Abul Isphani road. Shell pe or pso pe trust nahi raha, Shell at Askri 4 is good though.

Nice Conversation about criticism on WagonR. Mostly people use the price tag of WagonR is high. Price of WagonR is inclusive of 17 % sales tax. People compare it with accidented JDM cars. In india taxes are lot less and production is high. Mostly people criticise on WagonR tyres. All over the world the tyre size of WagonR is same. Only in India VXI it has all the accesserories and having 14" alloy rims. Also people compare it with Faw V2. I also have test drove it, indeed its a nice car. But if you see Faw V2 is not a hit even in china, South africa and chile. Secondly resale of faw is a question mark. WagonR is almost among top 5 vehicle in hatch back 1000 cc category. All that glitters is not gold. Me too booked a WagonR and took my family to showroom to select between cultus and WagonR. After sitting in WagonR and with the interior they selected WagonR. K series is one of the most successful engine in suzuki history. Fuel economy n width of vehicle is most important in pakistani streets and WagonR fulfill that. WagonR will have resale when 20000 plus vehicle will be on road. and secondly people in our category dont change vehicle oftently. Atleast 5-10 years they retain and sale unless it have some serious problems. Baki to is mulk me sab engineer doctor qasai naai economist anchor aur journalist hain. Every one comments even on those topics they are not concerned and they dont know.
The day WagonR was launched i visited the showroom and for me it was overpriced. Now its Ok and fine. For mehran a price 7 lac and cultus 10lac 50000, wagonR vxl is most approperiate at 1 million.

Thanks for reply.the Hascol pump u have referred to is I guess the one newly opened. I will check that. Will try Byco too as i live in the same vicinity. However i was little bit of satisfied with the Shell pump right on the turning of Abul Hasan Isphahani Road Opposit SSGC pump

Suzuki alto only sold 2800 in 2001-2. 1-2 years are not a time for car sales to judge. Even after alto before discontinoing it surpasses your favorite cultus.

These stats are not promising. Shape is major hit so faar.

In next couple of years we will get more cars and best if all celerio is near launch. So competition will be good finally. Alto time was dark period when people used to compare alto and coure when alto was clearly better than coure. Wagon r will also gain resale of suzuki does proper marketing.

hahahha same thing happened to me ....back jn 2007 when i saw a black liana running full speed on isb hiway ......first i was against it ....then bought it ......till now in enjoying without any **** 140k on odo

registration cost is not the same as swift ast its more than 1300cc.V2 being advertised as 1298 cc falls in 30k registration tax category.There is no advance income tax as its being imported as a CBU.So one saves alot while registering V2.Swift sales are also down as it is expensive to register..

Thpough 1000cc is my preference for local commutes and am more incline towards Wagon R the features offered and the price bracket of V2 gives me second thoughts.
