I also sold my mehran in 2014 and bought wagn r. I analyzed the price of mehran from different dealers i.e sethi motors. Adil ashraf and from local market as well as. Best price was given by suzuki township motors
So i sold through them. And also bought wagn r from there. I hv a reference there therefore got floor matt.top cover. Handle cover.key chain free of cost. And got delivery within 2 hours. My brother u will nt be disappointed from wagn r. I m also from lahore township.

Try sethi motor aswell and take the better offer. Also try to sell ur cultus in an open market and see what offers u get...then go for the best deal

So Guys was very busy these weeks as my exams r starting from Tuesday and had to cover alot of work, hardly had time to use PW.
So got the car on Friday night and tried to make time to check,test, and compare this car thoroughly.

The Car which i got was a 2014 VXL with approx 12k on the odo and had Alloy Rims and Tyres. Gun Metallic.

Comfort: (Wagon R 6.5/10)
The interior of this car is fair, The Seats were the same which i had in my 2 Door Mira which i hated and my review goes the same for Wagon R seats aswell, leg room is good. The Seating position is high but also gives a wagon type feeling as well but gives good visibility. Dashboard Quality is good but i experienced some Dash Board noises which is very shocking for a car with 12k on the odo. Speedometer looks good. Car had leather poshing done on seats so can't comment of fabric quality, The Gear and Steering Silver corners had started to fade which is not shocking for me as i have experienced the same problems in My Swift and Liana.
Never Faced Such Issues in any jdm iv'e kept or driven
Engine: (Wagon R 8.5/10)
The engine was pretty responsive and impressive, The Engine was pretty smooth and Soundless, The K series engine is pretty good, However wont call it extra ordinary as 1000cc jdms perform the same.
Transmission: (5/10)
The Gear was sticking in the 1st and R gear.
Paint Quality: (5/10)
Paint Quality is Pathetic another thing not to be shocked of because Suzuki paint Quality is always pathetic, The car was filled with Orange peel, faced same issue on Mehran, Alto,Swift. Any detailer can confirm this issue
Looks: (5/10)
The Car is hideous, no doubt, i tried my level best to digest the shape and try to look at it with a Cool thought but failed miserably, The underneath of the car is easily visible from the rear. the front is a bit better though.
Electricals : (8/10)
The power Steering, Windows etc r all pretty good. The color scheme of dash is pretty nice. however the panels had gotten scratches again disappointing for a brand new car.
Build Quality: (6.5/10)
The Car had all those Qualities Suzuki is Famous of. Rattling Dashboard. Fading, pathetic paint, the doors wont close with one push and u have to close it again. The Keys plastic case had been badly Scratched already. My 2010 Alto jdm key is in much much clean condition.
Overall Rating. 6.5/10

Anyone who is looking for a Brand New Car and has exactly no idea of Jdms and can bear the SUZUKI issues should go for the VXL version only. The VXR and VX is a joke, They can't even put wheel caps on their VXR , and about VX, u pay 0.8M and no A.C. Those Comparing with Indian Cars, Please also have a look at the features they r providing, even after converting their top of the line versions the cost comes cheaper than the one sold here. So please stop comparing it with Indian Cars. Rest for all those Saying, That the car is priced reasonable with respect to its features, please have a look at Faw V2. You will get the answer of who is looting and who is not.

Nice review (Y). Can you give short comment on Wagon r vs cultus to have potential buyer decide ? Plus you missed a very imortant factor which is fuel efficiency, after this Wagon r becomes more reasonable choice. Since you are from karachi and knows traffic situation really well so you can get the idea, i am getting 16-16.5km/l without ac or minimum ac in karachi city. My car is on alloys with 175/70/r13 in summers with 80% ac i got 14.5-15.5 km/l

1 more thing ... i think ap ko Open letter pe sale krni pari ho ge mehran?? MadniMotors were saying tht we will give just receipt and thn do cosmetic changes and thn sale and then when d new buyer buys then they will transfer.. so this indirectly means tht its only possible if i sale on open letter to Suzuki. bt i dnt wana sale on open lettr.. hop u know story of APS attack van tht wz used

Bro tbh Cultus feels a more stable on the road while Wagon R has a more advanced and better engine. but overall i'd say cultus is more stable, But Cultus is not worth buying anymore because it is way overly priced and now its an obsolete piece of technology and is leaving the market pretty soon. For Fuel Avg i cant comment because i had the car only for 2 days, i'll ask my friend the avg though as he will be knowing it. One thing which made me worried was the gear sticking issue, asked my friend and he says he too felt it sticking in the 1st gear and R gear, what can be the issue? will be taking it to 3S in a day or two and i will go with him to see the 3S experience

Touched 140 on my mira easily n quickly! Agar jdm mai 160 ki speed hoti to aaram say chali jati! Improve ur knowledge

ppl just criticize suzuki fr d sake of criticism.. Mira Life passo and aise sub back se dibbaa style cars pe kabi koi nahi bolta bt suzuki ne banai to sub shuru even when d bak of wagonR is curved and visually its way bettr thn d stupid ants(keerian) type cars on road.. better thn esse passo mira etc etc... its just a division of class... as our society is divided so ppl hav kept a distinction in cars as well.. Honda is A grade, Suzuki is F grade, JDM 660 Dinkies A grade too.. kya ye khula tazzad nahi..

most of it is exactly what happend in the test drives also drove a VXL in gray once from PS test car and one of a family friend
i liked the engine no doubt this engine is good and butter smooth and gear issues well i know it is a Suzuki(btw my alto pkdm had issue with reverse since day 1 but changing gear kit to a jdm model made it good)
will not comment on looks at all becasue we all know what i call it kuch members ki dil azari na hojaye
EPS in VXL was good and only VXL so after that decided to get it in my alto and many more JDM options and parts zindabad for my case
and dash board well it is with every PKDM Suzuki ever made Except Saboors Liana

now if cultus vs wagon R
well both are products of same company but i think cultus wins in looks only on doubut it is a good looking car but it is old design and i do not like how she stops.

sir jee sub choro a friend of mine use to own a jdm alto the one with leaf spring suspension (base model) and use to say tumhari liana ka suspension fariq hai ek din us ko gari mai betha kar highway per 180 tak gari kencha phir kabhi us k mooh se yeh baat nahi nikli

Only reverse gear get stuck in my Wagon r, we have city 2012 it also has same problem i.e. reverse gear gets stuck usually. About petrol mileage i have shared my car fuel consumption to let you know how good it is.

Wagon R has body roll which should not be taken as less stable, you see we have round bridges in karachi at hassan square and karsaz on down hill and curve it can easily do 50 km/hr easily keeping it in same lane

@saboor73 ,Bro the pics u posted clearly show that those panels r repainted. there r paint spots one the door cards which shows poor repaint job. Still ill check with a neighbours grande and update here. Why we r not discussing or critisizing Toyota or Honda here is because this thread is of Suzuki and we r mainly discussing Wagon R here. Toyota aur Honda bhi lootne mein kum nhi.
About Tires, According to Pakistani Manufacturing policy, All makers r bound to put local tires on their cars unless the Tire size is not available locally, then u r allowed to put imported tires which is why Swift and Wagon R have imported tyres.
Aur koi bhi gaari jis ke dash 10-12 saal continuously Heat se exposed rahe to us ka haal yehi rahe ga. Yes some cars come with such manufacturing faults but they r corrected later on in the world but that doesn't happen in pak. But frankly speaking i have rarely seen a jdm with faded dashboard while almost all pkdm especially suzuki have faded dashboard.

even our 24 year old jdm alto aka mehran 89 but im talking about noise except the 89 jdm alto we had every other cars dash made noise it was oldest and most reliable car we had yes even some times meri vxr ko flu hojata hai but that 89 was side by side running like a boss
strange isn't it ?

JDM what nothing markx isn't JDM??????? premio isn't JDM I have literally saw a premio with misaligned tail lights vitz isn't JDM I have seen many vitz and 90% of them were without cat con hybrid reborn (8 gen civic) isn't JDM it the most badnam civic we have a alto 800 fx shape JDM in family with proper suspension not leaf spring and why uncle (owner of car) says he will burn it one day
