Assalaamu Alayku brothers, I have a brief question, and would appreciate reply from any one who recently got his vehicle registered thru Suzuki dealership in Karachi/Hyderabad, Sindh:
I got the delivery of my Wagon R VXL on 25th June (on full cash payment). The Suzuki dealer charged me Rs. 35,965 against registration. A few days ago, I asked him the registration challan issued by excise and taxation, Sindh, and he gave me a copy of the registration challan.
Following are the details mentioned on the challan:
My vehicle registration no.
Number plates issued on 27th June (same date of paying fee)
Registration documents to be given on 2nd August, 2014
Amount of tax paid: Rs 32,965 plus 3000 given to agent as commission for making the process (Rs. 35,965)
I asked the dealer that if the number plates were issued on 27th June, when would I receive them, and he replied that you have to wait for your number plates till the next week.
My questions are: (i) how long it takes to get the number plates once you have paid all the taxes related to registration?
(ii) Once I get the original tax challan, will I be able to get my registration book on 2nd August, 2014 as mentioned by Excise and taxation, sindh on the challan, or the dealer will hand over the registration documents/book to me?
