Alhumdulillaah, upgrading from Wagon R VXL to Corolla Altis 1.6 has turned out to be a pleasant experience en-bloc, but I still miss my Wagon R VXL, due to the fact that having a smaller size front bonnet, it was relatively easier to manoeuver the car within high volume traffic in rush hours, the same can't be done while driving a Corolla. Hope Wagon R owners are enjoying their rides as well

Which govt tax? correct me if i am wrong but if you are referring to the 10% increment in import duty w.e.f Dec 2015 via SRO then it was for above 1000 cc vehicles.

Have u checked the tyre pressure as of should be 36 psi with stock tyres.

The fuel tank is of 35 litres so of you have covered 350 and 2 bars are remaining then average seems to be OK

Bro when my car was under 1000 kms it gave me 14 but after 5000 it improved to 16-17 in city and now I have covered 10000kms and I am more than happy with the fuel average because I made a round trip recently to Faisalabad with 5 adults and around 7-8kg luggage in trunk in one full tank and got average of 19km/liter but I kept speed at 100-110km/hr.Do not worry it will improve after break in period

18+ on highway with a.c with rpm 3, abt 15 in city.without a.c i also got 21.8 km/lit from lahore to islamabad

You are right brother. There is no comparison of a china copy of JDM wagon R with FAW V2. Actually JDM Wagon R is a full featured unit with ABS, Air Bags, wonderful suspension , comfortable seats and more economical. And PKDM wagon R is china scrap copy with out any feature just and only EPS. FAW V2 is a international brand with same feature all around the world.

Suzuki Wagon R has been selling under different brand names all over the world(Europe, Japan, India, Pakistan, Malaysia) Wagon R+, Solio, Wagon R kei(Japan), Wagon Stingray.

I have also completed 22k on WR. Very smooth no noises. Fuel economy is still best. Dashboard looks good. Its plastic does not catch dust.

Only thing i dislike is door closing experience, it is because there are no side impact bars which should be present in all cars.

wagon r does have side impact bars, it lacks rubbers, even v2 lacks those.

there is a china copy of wagon R in Paskistan without any feature. first You go and read all feature and technologies that are used in others countries Wagon R, plz read my post care fully then pas any arguments. if PKDm wagon R like JDM wagon R then i Love it. with out any featur it is same like China Mall...... enjoy your ride

I am owner of FAW v2 and also owner of wagon R later. I admit wind crossing noise is issue but it can be resolved. What about pak sazuki cheapest interior and less technology units??? Where are safety feature in wagon R ???

Wagon R certainly has better interior, dashboard, plastics and door trims than v2. other than ABS(EBD too, but all cars with abs come with that) v2 doesn't have anything extra. the balloons in dash don't increase safety, it scored zero for chest protection, ABS allows you to steer while braking but increases straight line braking distance on dry and gravel in these small cars with cheap implementation of such technology, even equipped with ABS v2's brakes start to make noise within 5 thousand Kilometer. if they couldn't set the brakes(most basic mean of safety) right in v2, what kind of quality should we expect for the rest of the car?

I agree with you brothere.. But main prob is less knowledge of technology suzuki mehran caltus and wagon R user does not know what is ABS, mean to say he is unaware about feelings and control during brake procedure. As same all other benefit of technology. Choice should be vary on knowledge bases.... Best of luck ....

actually a person who knows how to do apply brakes suddenly on a non abs car gets better feedback, pedal feel during braking while it is just vibrations in abs. ABS vs non ABS discussion is like manual vs auto transmission. if we get road infrastructure like 1st world countries we'd surely shift to ABS and Auto transmission cars. till than its personal preferences. to explain further, all cars equipped techs like abs, traction control, stability control do have a warning sticker attached that these systems don't increase the maximum limits of the car and shouldn't be solely relied upon for safety. a driver who knows threshold braking(that an abs equipped car owner can never feel of) can achieve shorter distances on a non abs car.
