i agree but it depends from car to car...in baleno i can see more than half of bonnet, in mehran the whole bonnet but in passo i only get glimpse of bonnet coz the dashboard is huge and there is huge cabin space in between....

Vicky sb, we got a wagonR precisely due to the driving position. The driver sits higher than usual cars. The dashboard slopes down towards the bonnet (unlike broad and straight dash boards of most modern cars) so you get a much better view of the road and the dimensions of the bonnet. You should stop by at one of suzuki's dealerships and get a test drive whenever u have time.

Dear all, driving my Wagon R VXL has been a pleasing experience so far. The first free service of my car is due the next week, so before getting it done, I would like you to answer two questions mentioned below (based on your Wagon R driving experience). I would be greatly thankful to you.

1. Whenever I shift the gear by moving the gear stick upwards / downwards, a very light sound can be heard from the gear box (even while pushing the full clutch). At higher RPMs, the sound is not audible because of engine noise, but at lower RPMs, when the engine noise is comparatively lower, a very light gear shifting sound can be heard. The sound is a bit louder when I push the gear stick backwards in order to reverse the car. Is it normal or not?

2. The Wagon R comes with rear defogger feature. When I bought the car, the Suzuki dealer pasted his advertisement sticker on the inside of the rear glass window as circled in the photo. Will this affect the functionality of the defogger or not, so that I may get it removed? Please advise. Cheers

but driving a vehicle is Rawalpindi is rather impossible without left side view.
I thinking to install a flag like stick on left side, here FX taxis are big problem, the came just like motorbikes in Karachi. From every where and after hitting, the start begging, we are poor people Sahib G and taxi is on rent ...

Here in Lahore, driving condition is just like Karachi and I am quite used to it. Don't bother about length or width of bonnet. I know how to pull my car out of the crowd without even touching anyone.

People who own Honda Civic Oriel Prosmatec will agree with me, the dashboard is so high, you can't take a glimpse of bonnet. It's like flying a plane on road. First time, I sat in that car I said, God I can't drive it, I will hit someone. But it was just the matter of concern for two days only.

There is nothing to worry about gear shifting noise. It's normal. Often manual cars with quieter operation makes this shifting noise which is audible.

This is the stupidity of these dealers to advertise their business through stickers and paint. If defogger is running over the surface of glass, pulling sticker harshly can damage it. If it is within glass, then no problem. Wagon R owners can better confirm you that.

bro dnt woryyy tht gear shifting sound is normal..the car z new n so is the gear box so awaz to aegi..with the passage of time ye awaz thek hojaegii..or i blv k jb 5000km py ap inspection karaogai n sary fluid change hongai to sb set hojaega..
further i think these stickers would affect the defogger so get it removed asap

1. Mohummed Ahmed bhai, I have the same experience. Front is ok, but I often hear the gearbox grinding noise quite loudly while shifting to reverse. I think that the clutch cable needs adjustment, The solution that I have come up is:
2. no carpet mat on the driver's side. The carpet mat comes between the clutch and the floor.
3. I disengage hand brake before shifting to reverse (in case the car was parked earlier).

I will get it checked asap myself,now that u have brought it up - thank you for that.

As for the sticker on rear defogger, as u would have read in the manual, the defogger lines get damaged only if u clean the rear window by moving the cloth vertically (like the usual practice of service stations walas). If u move the cloth across the screen horizontally, i.e. in the direction of the lines, it will be fine. There is no effect of sticker. If you want to get it removed, u can do that with a cloth moistened with petrol and it will peel off by gentle rubbing. If it is not botherinbg u, then let it be.

Mohummed Ahmed bhai, today i paid attention to the gear noise that you mentioned. It is more noticeable if the hand brake is engaged. If you shift to either 1st or reverse with the hand brake down (from stationary), there is no grinding noise. I guess the clutch needs adjustment.

It is a safety feature whereby the car can be started from the key supplied by the manufacturer only.

This means that the thief cannot just start the vehicle from hot-wiring the car. Please google it for further details.

ALHAMDULILLAH, got VXL sand beige color a few days ago.
Just drove ~100 Km.
seems better than cultus (my previous car).

PROS:
spacious
more POWER and pick
excellent AC
good road grip
material of interior and exterior seems much better and precious than cultus
very less sound of engine

Cons:
overall length seems a bit smaller
Gear shifting is not smooth

I also think so brother @AbuJamal . I also observed the gap between the floor of the car and the clutch going down when pushed full, and the distance between the two was hardly 0.5 inch (because of mattress stick to the floor of the car which can not be striped out, then the thin grey mattress, and finally the black floor mat as shown in the pic). Nevertheless, I would raise this issue with the Suzuki dealer as soon as I go for the first free service this week, In shaa Allaah. Cheers

About to complete 10,000 by the end of week, lets c the impact on fuel average after 3rd service . Right now I am getting 14 + in Lahore with 80 % AC , 19 on Long drive with 3 RPM .

Loving it day by day , the people talking about shape , road grip would surprise while driving it on highways .
