wagon R has great pick and acceleration even with AC on but on 5 gear and under 3k rpm it goes till 100 km/h, beyond that it req rpm beyond 3k which is neither economical nor recommended. Therefore, i think its powerful machine best design for urban and extra urban drive and upto speed of 100 km/h.

its recommended for those who has 80 % city drive and 20% long drive requirement/ use.

None of the car in the world is made for 80% city drive and 20% long drive. Do not drive the car at all if you can not afford it.

Both generations have nearly similar performance infact 10 th generation has better handling.
Why wr is slower?
We were about to get one so drove wr tot est it, now there is a straight road with an iconic corner. I test the performance of cars on this very road. Starting off with 9 th generation corolla, i managed to get through that corner at 70 kmph (its a very difficult one) recently bought city drove through it at 80 kmh on the second try. I tested wr and i couldn't exceed 50 kmh. After multiple tries, i gathered up my nerves and reached the corner at just above 60, the car understeered and almost collided with the car coming in the opposite lane ( same experience happened once with mehran ) i had to steer towards kacha to save myself. Thats what driving pleasure is about. And wr lacks in that sector imo. I donot intend to hurt anyone here BTW.

Driving pleasure had nothing to do with what u did lol, its stupidity IMO, its a small city car not a sports car for taking fast turns.

both gens have a difference of 10 hp which may not seem a lot but thats the all the difference which makes the acceleration difference of city 2005<corolla 9th gen<corolla 10th gen<current city (all 1.3)

we've been using 9th gens since 2002 i've driven all variants and have a 9th gen 2.0d Saloon at the moment yet I dare say that wagon r is faster.

expecting sharp handling with the wheelbase, height, soft suspension setup and track size of wagon r isn't wise considering a corolla or city comes with bigger and wider wheels and a lower stance. you can compare its handling with santro or jdm kei cars of similar height.

I don't own a wagon r only driven it sometimes. Atm we've 3 Toyotas and I've made 2 of my friends switch to Toyota because of the kinda roads we have to drive daily on so it isn't like that I'm favoring a WR cause I own one.

I just shared my experience, however i think its slower than a corolla. Ill try to look for the answers.

Like sports cars are assembled here, i don't recommend doing it. Im not a stupid bloke turning cars quickly lol. I know the limits. Just my way of having a little fun, like which car handles better.

yes came back on Sunday 5th-June-2016.
Road condition is fine untill Naran, but from Naran to Babusar it is too much bumpy at some points. I couldn't reach till end due to blockage.

I have changed tires to Dunlop sp sports Lm703, costed 8k for 4 tires after exchange, they are 175/70/r13, result is awesome, even less road noise, better grip and no effect on steering or any heavy feel. I also ordered its seat cover custom built in Leatherite, it will cost me 6k, I will share the pics on tuesday inshaAllah. Quick feedback from my side on WagonR is its awesome, its practical and i m enjoying it. i still to run its ac on position 2, even in afternoon, it is handling karachi temp pretty well (for me) at position 1 of ac knob.

We got 2 wagon r vxr for our house, 0 meter cars. I changed their original gt radials to bridgestone ecopia 175/70/r13. Both cars have developed a sound in front left suspension one is 450km driven and the other is 350km tire pressure is 28 what could be the issue iam v v worried. Sound is like that of a shock being faulty or the bushing of chimtay aka kenchiyan to be faulty or some nuts to be lose. on slow speed when the car moves in some bumpy road u can hear echoed sound "dhak dhak" type.

took it to 3s guys they said "sir awaz nai ah apko lagrahe ha" anyways plan of taking it to my suspension guy ask him to let me know what exactly is wrong so these 3s guys wont be able to fool me this time. thats is why I am asking everyone here who are using 175/70/r13 that is it due to tyres. Both car started giving this issue when their stock tires were changed and both are 0 meter cars same delivery day etc.

The person from whom I go my tyres replaced was kinda friend he said whenever u have to take the car to 3s people come to me I always have a set of gt radials lying around I will put them in your car
