I have driven my wr for 16000 km in last 16 months. Its a very nice car but due to its tall body this car has less roadgrip over speed of 100 km. Change your stock tyre with 165/70 R 13 , it will increase the smoothness of your drive. Pls donot use 170 or 175 tyre size because it touch body on full turn. This car is best for daily commute in the city. There is no sound in left tire of wr so kindly consult 3s and please make sure to tighten your suspension nuts on 1st tuning
Sound from the left side is an issue of loose steering rack, it is almost in every WR, may be high and low in different cases, but is definitely there. PS technicians give a lame excuse that PS have keep this setting of Steering to keep it buttery and smooth, which I think is B.S hitttttttt, as if it can be adjustable (which can be) so should be adjusted to optimum position where steering will be smooth as well as not loose.
On my past 2 visits I insisted on this steering bush thing but they were least interested. Can you tell me its exact location and how hard soft it should be? I am planning for my 10k km service this saturday.
I cannot send you a photo, however it is exactly where the steering come out of cabin in the engine area, a cup type joint where in a rod from steering and bar / rack (which connects right or left wheel) are connected it is having an adjusting bolt, they just had to loosen the check nut and then have to tighten the adjusting screw / bolt a bit, normally problem will be resolved, however in worse case the bush on left side of the steering rack has to be re-worked / greesed to reduce the play of rack in its housing.
It is a time consuming job, so normally Suzuki people did not want to do that and always put blame on tires, alloy wheels etc. etc. to get rid of it or simply say it is normal, PS have kept this to have smooth and light steering.
